I've noticed that when I access WWF via tapatalk, I can't seem to get to my subscribed topics from my iPhone's notification screen (the down swipe screen). This function seems to work fine when I use the tapatalk forum. When I press on a subscribed link I get this message:

It doesn't seem to make a difference if I'm using wifi or 3G/4G networks.
Hey William I noticed this a week or so ago. I reinstalled tapatalk on this forum and still get the blank screen after attempting to load the website on my phone. It's running fine on several other forum sites we run, just haven't had a chance to investigate it here.

Using Tapatalk on Samsung android phone and don't have a problem.
I know it's not Tapatalk but can you log onto the forms without Tapatalk maby via google or just entering woodworkforums.com into the address line. this will (should) automatically load the default forum skin. See if you have the same problem with this one as with Tapatalk.
Might help to narrow it down if the problem is on both then it may be a forum problem and not a Tapatalk one.

I got a notification about a thread on the 'for sale' heading (I'm subscribed to the for sale section). But when I clicked on it I got the same network error message.
Actually, I just went into the unread link and tried to click on a thread in the 'nsw auctions' section and got the same message...
The Auctions section doesn't work with Tapatalk due to the format, you need to use a browser for the Auctions.Quote:

G'day John - Just went to the Auctions section via TapaTalk and after waiting a full 5 minutes for a thread to load, I switched to google and loaded the forums with the default mobile skin and it took less than 3 seconds to load the same thread in Auctions, photo's and all.

I got this one, but no one else has replied to any of my other subscribed topics, and the 1 other topic titled 'FREE Jarrah Flooring Emerald' (which I think is in the marketplace or free giveaways section) gave me the network error.
Incidentally, I've also noticed that if you invert the colours on the app, the date format becomes a bit skewed!

Is the new auctions section working now? I went to: tabbed for tapatalk, auctions. I got a listing of all the threads (within seconds), and when I clicked on a thread got the network error. I know you said previously that it wasn't working, but I wasn't sure if it's been fixed since.

Only the forum part of the auctions will work with tapatalk. Things like bidding and maybe even listing items wont.Quote:

Ok, problem was that I wasn't getting the mobile site on my iPhone, only the full site. I ended up clearing history & cookies. Now it's working.
I'm now getting the above look, but the pics aren't opening. Do you know if this is a setting I need to change?
I have checked your profile and there is no reason why the pics shouldn't show.
Make sure you are logged in or you will only see a few images.
To log in scroll to the bottom of the home page and you will find the login link just above the Copyright stuff.
Some people are not putting pics on to the Auction site properly and these are not coming up on mobiles.
Main culprits are those who just dump their pics in as thumbnails instead of inserting them into the post via the paperclip. Seem to be prevalent in the Timber sections but it's a bit across the board.

Again, sorry. I know that the site is free and that you do a great job to keep it running, it's just increasingly frustrating when mobile access is difficult. If I waited to go to a desktop to view the site if never be on WWF (at least my questions would end!!)
Easiest response for the pic thing is that those pics were not properly inserted into the post. It appears that many are just being dumped into posts rather than being placed via the paperclip.
I have inserted a pics below via the paperclip and will insert another in a following post via the inline (bumped) method.

Both will show on laptop or regular computer but not necessarily on an android device in either default mobile skin or Tapatalk.

Sorry, but I can't find this topic on the mobile site using my iPhone 5, with ios7 software. I have a huge listing of forums, which is great, can view pm's, my profile, etc...I just can't see my participated/subscribed topics!
As for the subscribed threads.
On my android device (Samsung - couple of years old now) very top right side of screen next to the address line (above the forum logo, etc) there is an icon that looks like 2 sheets of paper. Tap this and you should get a subscribe page.
You need to try tapping everything to find out how it works.
You using the paperclip won't do a thing. It is the person putting the photo(s) on who needs to place the pics on the page who needs to place them via the paparclip.
Nothing I can do about that other than go through every post and edit them all individually and that isn't going to happen.
To see one that's been done properly have a look at 8 Spokeshaves in the Auctions section or Stanly No 51 which I edited the pics in and let me know if they work for you.
