Hell no! Made some great friends though!
Well, if any early twenties girls with an interest in woodwork, physics, history, comedy and aeroplanes joins by all means let me know!
Other than that, no. Prime purpose here is to soak up as much knowledge out of the rest of you as I can -evil grin-
Not me either. In fact yesterday I celebrated our 33 years wedding anniversary with my wonderful wife and hope to have another 33 years as well.
Peter.
 we're all too ugly. :D
Too happily married here for it even to have crossed my mind.
I'm not married but I've been loving the same woman for 12 years and not about to stop. If I lost her I would bother with another I think.
Really must get round to marrying her one day...
Odd thing to ask. I don't think any of the forums I frequent are used for picking up, but then maybe it all goes over my head...
No wimmen on teh intarwebz, and I'd want a timestamped pic from anyone claiming to be one on teh innarwebs anyway (also known as TOGTFO).
Hell yes! I get all my action via this forum.:2tsup:
You didn't think I actually did any of this woodworking stuff did you?
Maybe Neil could extract from the database how many females there are on this forum as opposed to males (do you have to specify your sex when you sign up?). But, to preempt the result, I think the ratio would be about 5% females to 95% males. Therefore my chances of picking up (if the minister for everything approved such a notion) would be appallingly low.
So, to answer your question, I have to state the question itself is mind numbingly pointless.
Judging by the number of debates and amount of stress over which shade of chartreuse/cornflower/cerulean a wall should be painted to maintain correct feng shui, coupled with the relative dearth of practical advice, the home one forums seem to be overflowing with estrogen fuelled posters.
You could try them as a sly pick up medium, as long as you can put up with the threads related to sofa locations and how to fluff cushions.
I received a PM from one female forum member who said she wanted to have my children. I gladly gave her their addresses.
Priceless:D.
We moved interstate while our children were overseas, but on their return they still found us and now reside in the same state: One of them in the same town: Make that the same house.
Woodwork Forums for pick up? I think there would be better vehicles out there. (Ferrari, Porsche even Jaguar:wink:) Heresay of course.
Regards
Paul
If you're a bloke looking for a dating site, you'd probably do better looking here (so I'm told.)
Seconded, I was laughing out loud :)
And if it were a jag her parents would never be suspicious if you "broke down".Quote:

The boss's mum tells of how she used to get into trouble courting when he'd get her home late. He drove an MG for goodness sake! And he can't keep petrol in his tank to this day....
Jeez keep it quite. My wife doesn't know about this site... yet
This is where I met my first wife, deaf and dumb nymphomaniac owned a pub next to a golf course:oo:
To answer your question.
No.
To answer the real question, you should spend some more time with your other half. See how easy it is to understanding women.
Nah - my wife was the best that I could get with the car that I had.
:D:D:D
.
At least if you do find a partner here you know what tools they have already! No sense in doubling up!:D
So it seems you are all on here for the same reasons I am. To communicate with people of like mind, to learn, to view the work of others ad get ideas and solutions. Thanks.
Everyone go back to what they were doing, woodwork.
Cheers
Yep!!
Cheers
Oh...loved this one... gave me a little laugh...
... HOWEVER... being a widow 6 years on now I must tell you this forum was the most welcome interaction for actually chatting to "woodworking guys" with out being HIT on....!!!
Yes the percentage is rather stacked in the males-favour, being the greater number of members... an I'm sure the women members who do part-take in the sawdust-hobby/woodwork may also assume the same ideas as I do... this is a safe place to chat & make friends, with out any innuendo being implied... sometimes there have been sexest comments but I've not seen anyhing that has been too insulting or suggestive in the past six years.
Perth group of Ubeaut also sometimes get together for BBQ's & I'm also the only woman who attends these ... NEVER have the male members been anything other than true gentlemen & great friends...for this I thank you...
After loosing my partner I actually missed the interaction, chatting & discussing woodwork.... ideas & thoughs from a males perspective... its just freshing to be accepted & treated as an equal.
NOW.. after saying that... if someone is looking for a woodworking-wench... caravaning weekend witch, who will hitch on & travel at every opportunity... then your most welcome to apply or send resumes via IM's (but make sure you have your own sander & please be a DeWalt or Festo user)...hehehe....
Honestly.. I love that this forum has never given that type of impression...
I've also been on dating sites... they suck...
Unfortunately most men on dating sites don't like a woman who is compitant with tools, creative & comfortable in steel-caps...
So flying solo works for me on here... don't let this become one of those sites... PLEASE....
Obviously some guys havn't enough work to get on with ...OK.. mind back on the job.. go make more sawdust..!!
Good laugh.
Cheers KEKEMO... alias SHEDLADY
LOL.... well 100% agreement with you... this isn't one of those sites... THEN>>>>>>> hell ... YEP... I get an IM... OH NO....!!!!
Sorry, had to turn down request... member didn't have a FESTO or DeWALT..
also didn't have a cruiser.. boat... 4WD caravan... double sound-prove workshop... lumberyard... or overhead flitration system...
... don't want much do I?
Well...seriously not going out with anyone that hasn't got what I have already!
Modest .. mild & meek.. & a one track mind! WOOD WOOD WOOD....
However, I'd like see more opportunites to meet more fellow woodworkers... had same problem with wanting to join a caravanning group... they (a WA Caravan Group) wouldn't allow me to join as I was now husbandless... a single woman wasn't welcome... & all I wanted was to learn more about generators & solar power units.. converters ... electric brakes...etc...
WHO is more persecuted... single/married woman or single/ married men... for innocently chatting about hobbies to opposite gender...???
NO MORE IM... Please... ( hehehe)
I've just shown her the thread and she concedes defeat. No green eyed monsters here I might say as well. My hope is that we all enjoy this great forum and find positive encouragement and inspiration from what we find within.
Cheers
I don't think she really wants to trade down! LOL
