I've waited two weeks so I could post some good news.
Driving down the Pacific Hwy on a Saturday morning near home and a bloke (forgetting where he is) shoots out of a driveway and tries to cross all four lanes.
I find him first.. and T-bone him in the drivers side at 100kph ( no time to touch the brakes)
He was a very lucky bloke, he survived with a bunch of broken bits (leg, ankle, ribs, collarbones) it took an hour and a half to cut him out,
My camry wagon crumpled up exactly as the manufacturer intended :2tsup:
and after a day in emergency I was allowed home with a fractured sternum thanks to the seat belt (no really, thank you seat belt) and most of me in various shades of blue and purple.
Two weeks later and most bruises are now a jaundiced yellow, the sternum is knitting nicely, although I still can't laugh, cough or sneeze, and I'm still sleeping (sitting upright) on the ugliest recliner my wife could find at the op shop.
Things I've learned from the experience....
1...life is good.
2...a new respect for Newtons third law
3...MRI machines and six foot seven claustraphobes are natural enemies
4...did I mention life is good :)
