With Swmbo and son in New zealand for ten days I won't have to:
# run around the house witching off lights and TV sets
# do constant nightly door patrols to see that the warmth doesn't escape to the outside.
# remind the offspring of 4 minute showers.
# do jobs not done because they were going to be done "later".
# get dragged to go shopping.

Keeping the progeny to the proscribed showering time is a major pain. I'm a little envious, but then I saw that you're living in Brisbane, and my envy went. Worst designed / managed city oin the country.
We got a water-resistant digital timer off ebay and the rule is 4 mins.
The daughter used to stand under the shower for about 15 minutes each day.

the problem was solved by fitting a quick release modified airhose fitting to both roses.
when the kids finished . I could do a quick change and have a nice short fat shower.
