Who gives a Rat's? (Political)

So John & his Mrs haven't invited Peter & his Mrs to the lodge for dinner....
So who gives a ..... ?

My wife works with 2 blokes, I do computer & cabling work for both their wives, we all get on fine & we have all been out to dinner & functions together BUT, we have only ever had one couple over to our place for dinner, why?
Well, one couple have nothing at all in common with us (boring as batspit) & we would just spend the night talking about work, the other couple have more in common with us (sense of humour) & when they come to dinner, we end up talking about work anyway. :D

All I have heard all day flam'n long is how the country is going to be rooted if Johny doesn't invite Petey over for dinner....:no: sad.... :(

Pity we can't elect another media. :~

This government is protecting us from terrorism.
God forbid there should ever be a terrorist attack on (in) Australia.
But, as an eternal optimist, I always like to look on the bright side.
If Osama and his mates ever did do it, we might just be lucky enough that they use a Qantas jumbo (Qantas has shafted Australians for decades, GO Tiger!!) and, with luck, the plane may be full of Telstra executives (Telstra has shafted Australians for decades - Its a privilige to have a phone) and the trifecta would be if the thing hit parliament house during question time.
Current Australian politicians are only interested in party politics, not Australia.

Way I see it is this;

-You vote Liberal. They lie.
-You vote Labor. They lie.
-You vote Democrats. You've wasted a vote.
-You vote Greens. You're still voting Liberal.

Seriously, Im not a Johnny fan but it seems the media has turned on him. Could be since Jimmy decided that there was more money in Casinos than papers or since the collective media started complaining of the loss of media freedoms, probably both.

Nah I dont give a rats either...., well just a bit...., damm it I want dinner at the lodge, Ive paid my taxes....

Sorry, I know it's boring but, I do give a rat's. Little Johnny and his (not so) trusty offsider are so busy jockeying for the top job that they can't be focussed on the job at hand. That makes for a dysfunctional unit. Costello would counter that the unit can't be too dysfunctional with the economy booming and accumulated surpluses at record highs etc. IMO almost anybody could have run the treasury successfully in such a boom.

Where's the vision and inspiration? The last significant structural change they made was to transfer management of the national operating assets to R.Sol Trujillo and his mates. Before that they introduced GST (I thought that was Keating's idea in the 80s and Hewson's in the 90s). Once we had governments that built things like Snowy River schemes.

The thing that bugs me is were payin for it and they will probably stand around arguing about who's shout it is:wink:

They'd be complaining about not being able to get the computer going cos of some bad cabling :D :D

What makes them think Costello wants to go around to little Johnny's for tea? Personally, I couldn't think of anything more boring.

I like inviting people over for dinner. Peking duck, rice, Chinese tea, talk about woodwork and everything else is always enjoyable.

I must have done 20+ Peking ducks for family and friends in the past 10 years.

I don't consider a society successful just because its economy is booming.

I'd like to say I don't give a rats, but I do...just hoping the next government will instill a bit more faith in people about politicians as a whole.
