Yes, well at least I feel that I have sinned.

On the weekend I went out and bought............

Well I went out and bought.....some.......sawdust!:oo:

Yes I actually went out and bought a bale of sawdust! Not to make my shed authentic or to impress a visiting woody. I bought it for Bella our newest member of the family.

Unlike some clean freaks around here I don't have a cyclone or dusty or any such thing so the sawdust falls on the floor (and gets inhaled) and the floor of my shed is not the most sanitary environment - well actually half the time I can't get in there so the sawdust falls to the ground outside. In otherwords I needed clean sawdust and thought it best not to get on the forum and ask for another mans sawdust.:- I do have some pride you know!:D

From personal experience, I hope that you only ever have one guinea pig. When we were kids, my sister and I got what we were told were two boy guinea pigs. Well one got vey fat and soon we had to create a guinea pig village of hutches. Guinea pig sexing is a really difficult thing to do when you are 10.

In the end, they got loose and established a colony in Mum's agapantuses, until the local cat population discovered their own version of takeaway and cleaned them out.

I think that your penance is to make a Sturdee Mini-cyclone. It will pay for itself in a few bales of sawdust and remember you can now say that going to the shed is essential to looking after the welfare of Bella!!!

We only bought Bella 2 weeks ago and I suspect she is pregnant - bloody pet shop!

It may be turkey and roast Guinea pig for Christmas.

There is only one way to keep guinea pigs under control - males & females MUST be kept apart. Females can get pregnant on the same day that they drop their babies. Randy males.
We had the same problem when our kids were young and we finished up with double storey guinea pig houses.
Newspapers are also good for the bases of their houses - when we ran out of paper we used to buy the Sat Age to keep us going for a week.
Good luck with them as they are great pets for young kids

Yes, it took a lot of courage to admit it - I can tell you. Well they say that the first step to recovery is to admit that you have a problem and my problem it seams is that I do not produce enough sawdust!
