Hi all
I need one of you nerds to translate into Latin this phrase for me. :p

"Attitude determines price."

Im going to put this into a coat of arms I am going to design for the shop. :D

seems appropriate - it means "let the buyer beware"

Nah, I dont want that caveat emptor thing, I already know that one.
We get all these ppl with bad attitudes, so of course the price goes up for them.
The ppl with good attitudes get the price reduced. :p

My try would be:
Pretium duco persona
(price is calculated by personality), but of course not being a student of the language, the verb in the middle is actually a noun I think.

To translate 'Pig Latin' - remove "-ay' and move last remaining letter to front of word.

In Italian

L'atteggiamento determina il prezzo

many people in Melbourne would understand this;

Η τοποθέτηση καθορίζει την τιμή

Latin is roughly; depending on tense (abstract)

sensus arbitrium caritas - or could start with habitus instead sensus

Thats a translation of the words but this could be meaningless to a Roman:D . There may be a compendium (phrase) which means the same thing. I'm no expert but that will translate back OK for the individual words.

Oh, no.... you are tranlating in the "common" form. In my "high" version of pig latin, no words begin with a vowel..... so always add a "w" to the beginning of the word, before taking it to the end!!

(It takes years at university to understand all the nuances of language!!)

Actually I lied about the university. My siblings and I learnt off the back of a packet of Froot Loops he was given for his birthday (it was the in the 60's and sugar coated cereal was a very special treat!!). The Froot Loops logo was Toucan (bird) and the "language" was called "Toucan Talk".

There is a moral out of all this: Never place your education in the hands of a company that can't spell "Fruit", you could end up like me!!.

That's the saddest piece of the devaluation/corruption of the Australian Language I've seen in a while! :eek: :eek: :eek:

Would be ok in an American Store, but not in one of our shops!
