Hi
During a search it now asks you a random question. Previously it used to ask this only when you hadn't logged in. Is this change deliberate?
Cheers
Graeme
Yes it is. It will stop when you reach a certain number of posts.
It was put in place to stop spamming.
Hmmm  Can't save changes to my signature :C Only tried to change the date and I get the error "BB code url is not allowed." Always worked before.
Any clues????
It is definitely a problem at your end more likely than not it's Internet Explorer. Get rid of IE for a bit and try Firefox, free download here: Mozilla | Firefox web browser & Thunderbird email client. You'll wish you did it years ago.Quote:
OK this is really annoying.
As posted earlier, certain posts are not displaying properly.
So far all posts by Tea Lady and Watson.
I don't have either of them on ignore or any settings different. Could it be something in their sigs that is causing this? Have i inadvertantly turned something off/on? Help :C
I just had another play with it... permission to put a URL in your sig has been turned off.
If you already have a sig with a URL you can't edit it & save it until you remove the URL.
If you want to add a URL to your sig, it won't let you.
You will get a message that says "BB code url is not allowed."
I have had a couple of people ask me how I got a URL in my sig, the answer is that it was put there before the permission was removed.
Checking.
Should be all fixed now.:D
Yup. :2tsup:
I dont know if its just me but whenever I go to view threads, posts or my messages from home pc or my iPhone I get security messages, i get "this page no longer exists" messages. Darn annoying as hell. I get replies in threads but dont get the email for a week or two. Slowly getting " not happy jan". Did i say it has only been since the swap over.

Ps as i am trying to send . I am getting permission messages still.
Is this problem only from your home computer and iPhone?
Are they both with the same service provider?
Sounds like they are trying to pick up the old server so maybe there's a DNS cache problem. These should have cleared world wide a few days at most after the server change over but who knows.
Try flushing the DNS in the computer and if this works have a go at the iPhone.
How to Flush DNS in Microsoft Windows
In Microsoft Windows, you can use the command ipconfig /flushdns to flush the DNS resolver cache. Open the command prompt and type the following:C:>ipconfig /flushdnsThe above command will completely flush the DNS, deleting any incorrect entries too. You can also use the command ipconfig /displaydns to view the DNS resolver cache.
Windows IP Configuration
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.
Flush DNS in Mac OSX
In Mac OSX Leopard, you can use the command dscacheutil -flushcache to flush the DNS resolver cache:
bash-2.05a$ dscacheutil -flushcache
In Mac OSX versions 10.5.1 and before, the command lookupd -flushcache performed the same task:
bash-2.05a$ lookupd -flushcache
iPhone - How to Flush DNS
Step 1 - Turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Step 2 - Reload your iPhone Safari page.
If this doesn't work please post back in here and we'll see what else can be done.
