Video hits, Al, Video Hits. They've seen it all before. Here we are worried about some animated GIFs and a few lewd jokes and out there you've got "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me?". Let's get some perspective, man!!

I failed perspective in Tec Drag at school. Whatever anyone does, some poor bloke will always take offence, if in doubt a group hug and a bonding session with singing Coombya does the trick, if that doesn't work there's not much else we can do to help those who call blackboards chalkboards and fishermen fishers. :p

I've always called a spade a shovel.

One possible solution is in the user options:

Recommend that the individual student turns off the Avatars, and all is safe again for the students, and their parents.

a spade is an implement for cutting and turning over soil (gardening) whereas a shovel is an implement for digging or scooping up soil or other materials. Look it up in your Wikiwhatever.:p

Carry - We actually have the ability to block children from these forums until the site is checked out by parents and approval given, etc. It is called COPA (Child Online Protection Act) moderation we can put it in place and enforce it if required.

Pretty sure we also have is the ability to block avatars from their view and restrict them from certain areas like jokes, etc. that might be classed as politically incorrect.

Hi Zen, As Cameron said, my so-called 'club' is just me poking heaps of fun at myself, and now that a couple of other members have 'joined' or maybe I should say 'owned up', I don't feel so wierd anymore confessing that 'wood talks to me' (believe me I thought I was going seriously crazy there for a while :o )

It has absolutely nothing to do with purple, I don't think I've even read that thread, or want to, not that there was any association in the first place.


I think this forum is very welcoming. If I can get on board, a female to boot, and be welcomed, supported and laughed with then yes, this is a welcoming board.

I think theis place is pretty welcoming, i only joined yesterday, and plan on making bunk bed, yet i am fairly new to the whole wood work thing, i have only made a coffee table before, with guidence from FIL, but he isnt here to help this time. I have already had 2 offers of help, via pm's, which i think is fantastic, i will take any help i can get, i am trying to make sure i know what i am doing before i start, so thanks guys.
It was a bit daughnting knowing i was joining a forum which is predominantly guys, but hey, i mix with guys pretty good, and my dh laughted when i told him i joined. Thankfully i havent came across your section yet, so hopefully i continue to miss it. lol
