OK lets get down to business. Our beloved leader (Neil) has chosen to launch his new (updated) Polishers Handbook at the GTG.
I will have 20 copies for sale at a special price.
Ross
How heavy are they Ross? I'm worried that my hands, that accidentally got bombarded by Gamma Radiation, won't be strong enough to turn the pages and I really want to read the new book.
He's asked that his body be shellacked by members of the forum before the cremation!
I'm an optimist. :zap::crutch::D
And I'm kinda hoping that super powers from the radiation will kick in soon. :flex:
Just a quick question.
Do we have to wait until Tony exits the mortal coil before we begin the embalming, err.. shellacing, or can we slosh it about a bit as he arrives and in so doing hasten the inevitable?
If it did work the other way, the gamma rays that is, could he be able to cut one hundred dovetails a minute or perhaps sharpen sixty handsaws an hour?
Regards
Paul
Is this the book Ross....
A Polishers Handbook
Crowie
I believe that is it but also that Neil has been in the process of a bit of an update
Hey Fency
Is there a list of who's coming to NCArcher’s embalming, woops, to the 7th Blue Mountains extravaganza?
Brett, unfortunately I realise I will be away, and can't get there.
Bugger
Peter
I must say that THIS
https://www.woodworkforums.com/attach...1&d=1478583207
is a particularly good idea.
Yep. S'coming.
Yes, bugger alright! Alan has to go to an Historical Society Xmas Party, and says he knows where he rather be.....
Oh Gawd, WHY did you mention that. Now he'll be looking for free timber.......
I forgot.....he already has been, and I have 0.0343% of a m³ of Curly Tallow Wood set aside for him. BUT THAT'S IT! No more freebies without several Doctor's Certificates - from the different Specialists involved (we must be up to 9 different ailments by now)
My wife is a doctor. I may have distemper as well.... and a dodgy fetlock. Come to think of it, she did mention something about me going to live on a farm where I can run free. Must be for my recuperation.
And just to keep this thread on track, I've assembled quite a few things for sale on the day. Table saw accessories, power tools, hand tools, books and other stuff. I'll just need someone to help me carry it because of (insert ailment here..:D)
I would appreciate any one watching my wife watching me look at the for sale table.
To cover my a....
And explain to said wife it's a free stuff kind of thingy going on with forum members.
She will believe you more if you offer to top up a wine glass as well for her.
Cheers Matt
Got it.
Trying to steer this thread back in the rough direction of on topic, is anyone bringing a saw tooth chopping machine this year & willing to chop some teeth for me? If not, is anyone who has one coming & is willing to make some blades for me (I'll pay of course) & bring them along? If anyone can help, let me know & I will let you know what I need.
Ask Hiroller if he's coming
If not and he's willing to do them for you I can take them to him - He's only a couple of suburbs away
and I'll probably be out Bankstown way earlish December
Hi, Woolly, I can't make the GTG this year but might be able to assist.
Do you want new blades or existing blades retoothed?
Also, what length, TPI and rake you want? I only have a small supply of steel if you want new blades.
If you're not sure of the exact specs, just let me know what you want to use them for and I can use standard settings.
Send me a PM with details.
Nick, I'd also be interested in picking up the new edition of the Polisher's Handbook if you can bring one back!
Have posted some more timber for sale and available to pu at the FGT:
Camphor Laurel
Aust Red Cedar
Bird's Eye Rock Maple
Spotted Gum (turning blanks)
Deep Yellow Wood
Gosh I wish I was coming, I love embalming fluid......... oh, that's wrong, um, aaah, oh yes, that's right..... I love IMBIBING fluid!?
fletty
Alan
With all the goodies for sale, those that get there early could make a killing.
