I should have remember to turn the phone on it's side before taking the photo.

THANK YOU LOLA AND BRETT!!!
The day was almost perfect, blue sky's, sun shining, smoke in the air [and not just the smokers], water bombing helicopters in the distance and a mob of woodworkers shooting the breeze, enjoying the company of fellow forumites.............there was some "show & tell", some "bring and buy", an auction, good food, good company and great hosts.....who could ask for more....
WHAT A TOP DAY...
You just got to love this forum; it's the people who make it and what a pleasure to met some again plus put some new faces and names together while having a chat..... I even saw some hands on testing and repairs... well done everyone!!!
Here are a few photos from the day...enjoy.....cheers, crowie
Thanks Peter for the fine pics but did you have to show teasers of those fine saw n planes :C looks like all had a top day.......although I saw no wood/timber/sawdust/woodchips at all
Thanks for all the pics crowie - good stuff!
Thank you to all for coming and making the day a success again - particular the long distance travellers: Bushmiller from the Hunter via Toowoomba, NCArcher from the Hunter (for a short while only), and Repliconics all the way from Mildura, which is quite an effort!
Noo then. Pac Man. I seem to rather more the poorer of blue masking tape, and this would appear to have your name "written all over it". Mr Archer claims to "know nothingk" but I can tell guilty giggling laughter when I hear it, particular when he advises me that I "may be discovering labels for some time to come".
And it's not a Drill Press, it's a Drill Deck.
Yes, thanks for the pics Crowie and thank you to Brett and Lola for a wonderful day. I don't know how you arranged such beautiful weather!
it was also a treat to see blue tape replacing red..........:;

Thanks for posting the pics, crowie, I thought the day might have been cancelled with the bushfires up there.
Andy doesn't look to have put on any weight since leaving us here in the 'Ville, hope you fed him well :)
Thank you Bret and Lola, also thank you Peter for the photos.
As said, great to meet and socialize. Look forward to the next one

Thanks to FF(a) and FF(b) and all the other attendees for a good day.
The masking tape was the funniest thing I've never witnessed, and know nothing about, for a while.
G'Day All, Way off topic BUT, could I please make a special request to all....
Please keep an eye out for the old "Peters" signs in any of your haunts as one would look great in my shed....
Thank you in advance for all and any assistance; please just shot me a "PM" or email on the where, ta... Cheers, crowie
PM sent, crowie
Brett and Lola managed to organise a perfect day weather-wise just to get things going, then everything else seemed to fall into place flawlessly. There was plenty of good food (I know what Brett and Lola will be having for lunch and dinner for the next few days!) and even more socialising. It was great to meet a few masters of our hobbies, and many thanks to those who brought some interesting old tools for display and trade. Thankyou to Crowie for the photos, and to all who made the day so enjoyable just by being there.
See Ya at the next GTG,
Alan...
Lola and Brett it was a fantastic day and so good of you to open up your home for this gathering. The ability to meet with like minded people in person can be a little difficult at times. Especially with the diversity of interest with this gathering that was there today.
Brett I also found it interesting with the creative labeling of the contents of the draws and having to rely solely with your memory. I am sure next time the puzzle will be more creative.
Ahh I knew I should have asked you what it was called. Next time I will be a little more diligent. :q:U
A wonderfull day in the rare mountain air. The bush fires behaved themselves and the slight bit of smoke at the start soon dispersed. Long conversations on planes ,saws and other woodworkey stuff as well as meeting up with fellow travellers.
A big thanks to Lola and Brett for hosting the gathering and thanks also to crowie for taking the photos.
Regards
John

sorry I didn't take many this time
And a big thanks to Lola and Brett for having us all once again
I was nice to meet a few forumites and chat with many people
It's always good to catch up with familiar faces, as well as meet a few new ones. Had some interesting chats on the day. :2tsup:
I regret to say that neither of the Sedgley planes followed me home... no matter how hard I wished. :sigh:
Thanks all for another great day. Even after talking about it I still had my name tag on for the trip down the hill, a trip to the shops and to go and pick up dinner.
Thanks for the pics guys. Wish I was there. First chance I've had to even drop on on the thread
Hope I make the next one.
Thanks Tony Fletty dropped in with the box yesterday :2tsup:
