I've got a good idea .... why doesn't Ray take it to Ray?
Printable View
I seem to recall doing this before.
Uhh, me confusacat. No, nick isn't coming, but Ross is (and Nick always makes a cake for Ross), so Ross is of a mood where he'll be amenable to a visit with wheelin's package that Nick can pass on to the last link in the chain.
Except that wheelin's coming now so he will be able to deliver to Nick. Yes?
Come on Ray.
You never know when the next one will be.
To whom it may concern,
please can Ray come and play at FF's house on Sunday.
We will look after him and make sure he doesn't get into trouble like last time.
yours sincerely

Ray, you only need a lift one way, it is all down hill from Katoomba to your place:):)
If I throw a tow rope out as any of you blokes going up past on the M7 I could have a great time scaring a lot of people.:D
Have a great day gents as much as I'd love to be there, but it won't get done what I am trying to achieve here.
I need the break but I need the space more.
With the weekend after being Sturt and weekend after that Tinonee/Artisans Hill weekend that will be our break.
My car's packed, junk for NZ and all sorts of weird and wonderful carp for trade or donation to the Hammer account.:U
All the best for tomorrow.
I think it will be an entertaining day, which for a while, before it dawned that I had mis-read my roster, I thought I would be able to attend. I thought I would be able to combine it with a trip to the Hunter and was looking forward to meeting people I only knew by repute, PMs and telephone conversations.
Brett
Be sure to give a full report and plenty of pictures (I would expect no less from you ) . If they are incriminating or compromising, so much the better :D .
Regards
Paul
:whs:
I wish it were different but there's no leave pass for me tomorrow.
too many small jobs outstanding from before Christmas and I really want to get to Sturt next wseekend.
Have a great day chaps, don't entirely run out of chat or the next GTG will be a long way off
Katoomba via NZ. I better leave now:;
Well it's a beautiful morning up here. Forecast is for possible showers, maybe a late thunderstorm. I think it'll be very similar to yesterday, which had the same forecast, but the showers didn't happen (just a few spots and a bit of thunder - enough to send Nursie scuttling under the house, and Skew under the tarp).
Looking forward to seeing y'all.
Monster salad prep about to commence.
Cheers
Brett
Brett
Leaving shortly, is there anything you need brought up or are you under control?
Ross
All good Ross, thanks
We want LIVE CAM We Want Live Cam!!! LOL

No chance on web can to much legal paper work in it
and know one has a camera
How about if you leave your clothes on and don't those thingys people talk into take motion piccys  ?
On second thoughts the problem might at this stage of the proceedings might be to find someone in a sufficient state to operate without camera shake:D .
Regards
Paul
:o So all those fellows left their mobiles at home or have ones so old they don't have camera's let alone many have the capability of taking video. Not one laptop with a web cam.
Or anyone with a new fangled action cam strapped to their person. I do know one member for sure owns one won't say whom.
I agree BM/Paul tool drool, wood envy and sawdust can make any of these old fellas turn to jelly and modern day techie stuff just stops working.:;
Thank You Brett & Lola for a top day...You hospitality was much appreciated...
I was good to met a few blokes and have a chat, putting a face to some names...
There were blokes from Queensland to Victoria so well done to all for making the effort to attend....
Again THANK YOU Brett..
Cheers, crowie
PS - Some photos were taken so I hope they will be shared.....
I join Crowie and the others in thanking Brett and Lola. It was a lovely day in a classic Blue mountains cottage.
I don't know what the official count was but I got to 44 before I realised I had my multifocals on upside down ....:U
One of several 'official' portraits is attached. Several were required because getting everyone together was a bit like herding cats!

PS, Brett I left the official ANZAC biscuit container behind. I will have to get it back off you because Claw Hama for one, wouldnt recognise a real ANZAC biscuit without it!
Well, what a ripping good day that was. Thank you all for coming, and making it that day that it was.
I had a couple of msgs and a phone call from 3-4 who couldn't make it, but just after that I walked out the back door to see.....blow me down, what's doing here?! Standing next to him was Grumpy John, so it was a real blast - could have knocked me down with a feather! Great effort chaps to come up from Vic, and also to many others who came from quite some distance:
Tamworth (Chambezio)
Hunter (NCArcher, Woodnut...was there another?)
Gold Cost (Dai Sensei)
Wollongong or similar (Chris Parks, Pat)
and all the way from Seventh Avenue (Skew & Girl)
Yes, it happened:

A few faces obscured, I'm afeared
The head count was 22-3 (there are two not in that pic) and counting Lola and myself as one.
Got the container Fletty. It looks like a good size for rasps. Would you like me to fill it for you?
Unfortunately, Sunday arvo traffic struck going down the hill, so there'll be a few who get home later than they thought.
Forgot to mention before, but of the first seven arrivals, six had been at yesterday's Hunter GTG, so there wasn't much difference for them!
I will start by firstly thanking Lola and Brett for their hospitality. The salad was absolutely fantastic. :2tsup:
What a great day. I think I might have been the only one that took the train. :? I followed the direction as specified by Brett very precise as always.
As I was coming close to Brett house I recognised one vehicle that was parked on the street and knew that Dai Sensei was already there and I was just as shocked to find there. Of course in my casual calm self I said hello and continued to greet the rest of the group that was already there, then I came across Grumpy John, now that was a surprised. :o Not so Grumpy in my opinion.
Sorry about the multiple posts - I keep remembering things to mention.
For those who didn't get the info, the tray of saws and marking gauges out on the bench was the IanW collection. He also made all the handles on the files and rasps.
And you know those two cakes I promised......ah, I ah, remembered them at about 6pm when the tidying up was happening:B Forgot to put out the potato crisps, salad seeds, and a couple of other things as well. I did remember to put the olives out, but not a single one eaten - prolly because I had a lid on top to stop them drying out.
The weather for the day was a mixed bunch. Mostly about 27 deg and sunny, then a little bit of rain which turned into quite substantial hail (up to 12mm). Looking at the hail out the front - it was crazy, going in all directions. 45 deg from the left and right, vertical, and all at the same time. Never seen it do that before.
And last (I think), a real big thanks from me to Lola for all the back-room work she did today. THANKS HONEY!
Yup, pitted Kalamatas - they were on the tray next to the salad (which we'll be eating for another week).
Still sorry I couldn't go :C
Just got home. What a great day. Alright I've been home for a little while but I had to give Paul the tour of my shed. :U
Again thankyou Brett and Lola. Unlike some of the philistines :; I had and enjoyed some of the wonderful salad. And Anne the baklava was excellent :2tsup:
Great to put faces to names and meet more members. Two GTGs in two days. So when is the next one? I'm in.
Oh and I forgot to pick up my saw vice. Anybody got it? Brett don't put it out on the nature strip.
Thanks to Brett and Lola for hosting a great day. I had to leave early and it turns out that may have been a good decision as the traffic was ok and I missed the hail. It was good to catch up with old friends and have a chat and 's stories are always good value.
Thanks Lola and Brett for your hospitality. I hope it was Brett who did the washing up.
Thanks to Skew and others who relieved me of the shed detritous from the free box
Great day thanks to all
