Alexs kindly printed out all replies on this thread for Janet to read and I can honestly say she was overwhelmed with gratitude to all the responses and is also not in the least concerned with stories abourt the cooking abilities of our friend Wongo.
Janet has now progressed to walking the ward on crutches (Sunday 5 days after hip joints fitted) and discharge from the general ward is anticipated Tuesday to a rehab ward.

Very good to hear that she's making rapid progress John. Nothing like a good dose of good ol' Aussie fresh air and warm weather to speed things along. :)

Gone all warm and fuzzy-like to know that even technology connected groups like this forum can still show such humanity when someones having a bad run. Glad to know the recovery is flying and pat on the back for all involved!:D

Janet is getting some more 5 star treatment, The medicare system has transferred Janet to Greenwich Hospital Sydney for at least 7 days to their special rehab unit, hydro pool etc.
It appears Oz. wants to give some more hospitality to their Pomme cousins.

Pleased to say janet walked 50 yrds. today with both walking sticks clear of the floor and that was also after 1/2 hour of a gym workout that made me feel tired to even watch.
