Lets get this straight folks. You're the ones who have to work at this thread. I post the caption. You have to wade through the internet to find something appropriate, inappropriate, hilarious or even just funny.
But.....but you all did "obscure" (actually not all of you) and it was me that had do work hard to develop the connection .
As it happened, I enjoyed it immensely. I worked out Pac man's "Saved by the Bell" with his generous clue. I somehow stumbled on tea lady's "Bells Beech." I twigged to Labr@'s "Tubular Bells," but I have to tell you I resorted to an image recognition programme for that one. I privately patted myself on the back for that but cursed the irretriveably lost brain cells that were sacrificied in the effort. I loved 's cow bells. I had an image of the cyclops' giant cattle wearing those around their necks.
I am not sure about Cliff''s entry. probably something to do with being saved by the bell, but in an avent it was priceless. Look I could go on, Sawdust Maker, Skew ChiDAMN.....but I think this was the best subscribed caption that I have posted. Thanks:2tsup:.

Paul
So are you going to declare the winner?
Oh yes, you want to know the winner, but first the full quote, which came from the time of the Plague in London around 1665 (the year before the Great Fire).
"Any man's death diminishes me because I am part of mankind. Therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for the thee."
It was of course the bell to bring out the dead and throw them on the cart.
Now I am awarding it to Labr@ despite his entry for Mike Oldfield being obscure and despite me spending the best part of half an hour working it out.
Part of the reason is that I like "Tubular Bells" to the extent I included it in the recent past on a compilation I recorded. It was the full version, which is around 25mins long. My disadvantage was that I have never ever seen a picture of Mike Oldfield and had no idea of his appearance. That it quite an old photo too. Thanks to Pac man for the little clue.
I could have awarded it to any of you, but this time it's over to Bob.

Paul
