We may even have a side show on how too teach Matt to spell.
I will be involved with a video conference with my Veterans' knife making group this evening.
I was meant to be there in person this weekend helping to run a course but Covid got in the way.
The timing for that conference is flexible and depends upon when the knives are finished and the course ends.
If the new guys pick it up quickly they might finish up early and I might be able to make the the entire jabber.
Otherwise I might not make it at all, or just drop in for a quick visit. It is what it is.
If I'm not there by 7.30 feel free to start without me. Either way enjoy yourselves.
I need to get in on this. I just never remember that it is actually on. I'm already in front of the TV trying not think at all by then. Which I find is the natural outcome of watching TV but I digress.
Don't make any plans for the next few weeks, this will be a while yet.
Tomorrow night is Round Table Jabber again people’s.

Matt
I like the look of that. perhaps we could do a Kipp's game and spot what is on the bench. Aussiephil's knock offs, "The Body," etc. etc..
Wot's in the box?
See you tonight.
Regards
Paul
Bench is looking flash. And too clean.
Paige, Paul
One the Bench is looking just fine, thank you no need to add stuff.
Paul the Wooden Box is from the Mother country(For some [emoji6]).
An can reach to dissey heights !!
Cheers Matt.
Things are progressing well in our shed today so I should be in a position to come in by 7:30.
We will probably have some takeaway fish and chips for dinner because we will both have had enough of standing up at the benches today before it gets to cooking time.
See everyone there.
Remember the discussion around large (as in V8) chainsaws?
Video quality is not that good but should bring up following links with the "Predator" that are better quality.
V8 Chainsaw - Bing video
Imagine lugging that through the bush to cut down a tree. Not the best saw for the felling cut.

I was trying to describe the escapement on a couple of wooden planes I have, which I thought might suit your "challenge" planes. As we were discussing on the "Jabber" I have included the pix here rather than on your plane thread.
Both planes are skew rebate. The first is a 1" (not that it is particularly significant.)
Attachment 496806Attachment 496807
The second one is ¾" (no more significant than the first)
Attachment 496808Attachment 496809
I have shown multiple pix to compensate for my photographic skills. Hopefully you can get the gist of the ejection to one side. However this is with a skewed blade which is already trying to do this. It may still assist your plane, but no money back guarantee. :)

Paul
Thanks for thinking of me Paul. I did grasp the idea of what you were saying on Sunday evening but the pictures do help.
I have been looking at wooden bodied planes, both molding and joinery for quite a while as I plan to make quite a few over the next few years. There are many different ideas to pick from. Some seem to work well in some circumstances and not often seen in others. I have accumulated quite an extensive library of resources on the subject but always welcome more data for the pile.
I will elaborate more on this in my plane thread where no doubt you will see it. For now I will just say that I have made significant progress today.
Sunday night Jabber is on once again 7.30 start time.
All welcome, we’re a friendly bunch !!!!
I’m having Brain fade moments, so let’s just free fall tonight.
Or I’m happy to be led a stray.
Cheers Matt.
State of Origin - Enough said.
Not sure what you mean Doug [emoji6]
But I found this in Auntie Google
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5dc81e4af6.png
Cheers Matt.
Matt, if I have to explain it you will never understand.
I dont understand either, the origin of what?
I have never followed any of the rugby codes, yet whilst we lived in Queensland we would invariably end up gathering together with out social circle to watch the State of Origin. Such is it's pervasive nature into all of Queensland (and I assume NSW) life.
Then we moved to Tasmania, and it just wasn't a thing. If fact, one year I travelled to NZ for work, and whilst there I discovered that the State of Origin was up to its second game. They (public and the media) followed it more there than in Tas.
So whilst it may seem inconceivable to those living in Qld and NSW, by and large there is a good chance that the rest of the country doesn't even know about the biggest sporting event on your calendar.
It actually has a large following in Victoria too, mainly because for quite a few years when Queensland was at its peak, the best players from Melbourne Storm were the core of the Queensland team. The Storm have also been home to a lot of NSW players over the years too.
Origin is certainly not as popular in the "AFL" states as it is in Qld, NSW and to a lesser extent Victoria, but it is pretty well known. They filled the new Optus Stadium in Perth for an Origin game last year, despite COVID.
Ok
If we could leave the Origin debate now, if Dougs happy with that.[emoji20]
Anyone have a suggestion for tomorrow night’s Jabber.
It starts at 7.30 ish most nights all are welcome except those who want to talk Origin stuff [emoji6].
Cheers Matt.
Ooops! Turns out I have been double booked. Can't be there. Sorry!
All the best for the Jabber.

Paul
