Yes it is but it wads taken a few years ago, she's a bit taller now and needs longer ski's, I might add we only XC, hate downhill, no fun at all.
And the reference to questionable parentage was in the nicest possible way :D :D :D local term of endearment, but I prefer to be called MR. Bastard

Well rocker, someones got to fly the flag. Your observations are somewhat understated however, UK is the absolute pits of a place to live but I guess its what you get used to. Every place is a mix of good and bad unfortunately our mix is more weighted the wrong way. But hell Im not complaining it'll be spring soon and the rains and flooding will be with us, the birds are singin' and ive stopped wearing my thermal undies now, until May, when summer moves to Autumn and the golden leaves begin to fall, clogging up the drains. Im eagerly anticipating putting down the roof on the little roadster for a few days as the long term forecast is quite good for the summer, so that will be fun, fresh air(only 30% smog content) and the wind blowing through my hair, whats left of it anyway, makes you feel its good to be alive.Quote:

I said we may have a holiday, but that depends on how much the quarterly gas bill is of course. It could be a biggy this time as weve had the central heating on twice this month but only on Sunday nights and only for three hours, just to get warmed up a bit and in the mood, if you get my drift http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ons/icon12.gif
but we'll see how it goes.
We are one of the fortunates as we own our house, or will do in 2150 when the mortgage is paid up, so you see, we have security which is more than others do over here.
Anyhow Rocker Im telling you this in confidence so please keep it to yourself. Ive enjoyed our little chat... which could be our last....as I think i now wish to go to my wee workshop and shoot myself.
Thanks Rocker for raising my spirits youre a real pal. Bastard!!!!http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...cons/icon7.gif

I'm going back to see the relatives in a couple of weeks - I'm hoping the weather picks up a bit before I arrive as my mum isn't going to be too pleased if I stack her car on ice. My sister has apparently been saving some wallpaper stripping for me :) - very therapeutic stripping wallpaper - I'll probably need the therapy after tackling the traffic jams on the M25 again.Quote:

No doubt about it footy is the game of all games, the creme de la creme of sport, and its BRITISH.http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ons/icon10.gifhttp://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ons/icon10.gifhttp://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ons/icon10.gif

Now I know that all of you webbies and the surfers and the likes will be frantically checkin out the origins of the British game Soccer and youll be coming back with things like
" invented by Mongols kicking decapitated heads around" or " Red indians kicking stuffed animal skins and the likes"
Dont waste your time guys. We invented it. Its British, always has been always will be. We are footy, not the germans, not the brazilians, not the dutch, The BRITISH. In fact, its possible that Alex Ferguson is the reincarnation of the guy that actually invented it so that would mean ,,,,,yes ,,,its Scottish. God Im getting wet again.

cool!
Don't pick on football/soccer. After what I've paid this year in club fees and equiptment so me lad can play, it's gotta be the duck's guts. I can't believe pre-season training started the first week of school and he has his first trial game next week. Hell, he hasn't even finished the cricket season yet. For the next couple of months I'll have cricket on saturday and soccer on sunday, with one session of cricket training and two of soccer during the week. No wonder the kid's fit. I'm just exhausted.
Cheers
Richard

Australian Rules
aka arial ping pong where the players are so inept and unskilled that they have an additional set of goal posts and get awarded points for almost scoring a goal.
They are big but not tough, just oversensitive little souls who have tantrums when they nearly scored, hence the additional set.
God I hate football.....................
Most eloquently put there Iain. Australian Rules, now there's an oxymoron if ever there was. http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ons/icon10.gifQuote:

Think your right there Mathew, not sure which came first but I think it was sheffield wednesday and then sheffield united some years later. probably still got some of the original players in the team if you ask me.http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ons/icon10.gifQuote:

Surely there would have to have been two oldest teams on record, otherwise who would they have played?
"Hey, let's form a football team."
"Yeah, great idea. Umm, hang on, who are we going to play?"
