There would have been a lot of nice pens in that slab:rolleyes:. I guess its worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I don't mind this style of table when it is executed properly but this looks very amaturish with little thought given to the aesthetics of the piece. An oil/wax finish would have been harder work on the natural edge but it would have softened the finish. For mine the slab is too thick which makes it look heavy, not physically heavy but it would dominate any area it was put into. Little to no thought was given to the legs and the base... do I need to go on? Good luck to the seller but IMHO its a monstrosity:doh:.

The execution is definitely not for me - but then again neither would 1000 pens made out of it be either, I'd prefer to see it used in in tool handles. OK the pen makers can have the scraps :D

as for a slab cut probably with a chainsaw ....stuck together with silly glue ...sprayed with poly ....and called art ?....I think I will pass on that one ......and go find a mid 18th century cabinet to gaze at ...I would at least get my monies worth knowing what it took to put it together....
All I can think of is....... what a waste of tools & time...sanding disc's and how it reflects on the more elegantly produced pieces.
