I don't think you can save the image from Google Maps.
If the image is visible on your computer, it can be saved ;) (same with video fwiw)
I haven't been able to work out how you do it.
"Print Screen" saves screen image to clipboard. Then open whatever (e.g. MSPaint) and "Paste."

new rule....anyone who knows the location 1st hand is barred from entering:D....we want WILD guesses:2tsup:
neil.
Can I try one????
South West Coast Australia.
Should slow down you east coasters....:D
I believe the little township in view in the picture is Bremer Bay on the Wellstead Estuary. The township of Bremer Bay is situated at the south end of the Fitzgerald River National Park in Western Australia. I've never been anywhere near there.
Have a go at this one. It is on the NSW coast.
That's Huskisson. Yes I have been there. Once...
BTW I use maps.google.com and a little screen capture program I downloaded that lets you capture a rectangular portion of the screen and save it to jpg or gif.
Another one on the NSW coast:
Its definatly not lake illawarra. I was thinking perhaps the entrance but I'm not 100% sure.
Right neck of the woods but it's not a built up area - no houses. It's in a National Park.
I found it but I cheated so I won't reveal.
How did you cheat? I reckon if you found it by scanning the coast with Google Earth then that's legit.
I reckon it's Tamboy, south of Forster.
