I would go to an auction. I did and I got 550LM of mixed hardwood for under a grand. And I love the mixed look. Its very different and looks like the deck has an identity problem with the darker timbers mixed in every now and then with the lighter ones. But thats me, it was a risk and it paid dividends. All looks the same now as its weathered but Im getting out there this weekend and giving it a good clean and seal. Can wait to return it to its former glory.

Just for trivial bordam allow 65 nails per m2 for 90mm wide decking and approx 80 -85 for 67mm
As to how many are in a 5kg tub it has been counted but i have lost the figure and buy 25kg at a time so its no longer of interest cause 25kg goes a long way and is half or less than the kg rate on a 5kg anyway
All joints should be drilled with a pilot and our policy is all nails are predrilled regardless as it minimises the chances of a board later splitting around a nail when it shrinks

Thats a great deal you got there for the decking i gather its 90mm or is it 67mm width....Be careful with mixed hardwoods as it can quite often be the left overs and the durabilities will all be different so you can't use it in bush fire zones either..... You must have had fun picking it up cause my ute wasn't laughing when i put 350lm of 90mm merbau on its back on saturdayQuote:

hi all well have nearly finished the job only the clear curtains to do witch are on order ,man its cold at night when you get out of a nice wrm spa :)
just fitted a slidding door near the spa into the houst needs a bit of paint then thats done aswell :D
