You could have nipped down to the Big Green or Blue sheds and got sheets of alsynite to allow more light in.

The new shed looks to be a slight imprivement on the little green on.

Fletty, it's fine and good to have a new shed and the recycled timber can be sustainably stored outside under sheets of corrugated iron with stickers made from left over pieces of red cedar from past chair pieces and it's wonderful to recycle old sheds and pieces of iron and of course Council dictates must be obeyed at all times.
But...... I want it green.
The world is turning green, global warming is making the deserts bloom and 12% of the Australian population only vote that way and coal fired power stations apparently will be gone, globally gone, after the Paris conference in around 2 years time. So I want you to join the green revolution as well.
I'm sure there are some paints that use organic colourants that will do fine.

Today was HOT, bloody HOT, and we definitely did too much on the shed. I have eased my dehydration in the usual manner (which is why this post is so late) but l hope that Mick, the (REAL) builder, will be in better shape tomorrow than when he left this afternoon?
We actually finished the shed today, final roof sheets, barge boards, ridging, transferred the roller shutter door and window from old shed to new and fitted the PA door.
We also erected the frame work for the verandah roof but, when the temperature got to 42deg, we couldn't even handle the roofing sheets because they were too hot .... and pulled stumps for the day.

The plan for tomorrow is to fix the roofing sheets and gutter for the verandah but we will need to get it done early because tomorrow is forecast to be another stinker! I will then need to install the stormwater pipes ASAP before we get some rain. So far, Murphy hasn't visited but it wouldn't surprise me if he (she?) isnt waiting for it to be finished in a cauldron and then flood it?
We had a treeing out ceremony today but the emotional highlight will be the first drink on the verandah with my girls.... currently scheduled for Christmas Eve

I really like the way your shed integrates with the trees.
When I had our shed built the builderr required nothing within 1m of the shed but there were two small trees less than that away from the shed and it cost me carton for the subs to work around the trees and it has been well worth it.
Never fear Fletty, the new digs way outdo the old one. I'll take some pics and put up a post soon with the workshop and
some of the things I have been doing along the way. :)
