Ooops, you have a real excuse :- . I thought it was the fat finger syndrome. My limited experience of general anesthetics are that they can stay with you for a long times. The repercussions can be there, albeit in ever diminishing amounts, for many weeks. So there you have it: A get out of gaol (spell check wants me to say jail :) ) free card.
