Wendy
Hoping to hear the news that our good friend is on the mend, and he comes out of hospital a new man.
Hoping you will recover quickly.
Peter.
Ray,
My sincerest best wishes to you and your "Trouble".
I give the same advice to all who have these problems, based on many years observing animals:
Find a nice sheltered spot, away from everyone, curl up, and sleep it off.
Works for animals, every time.
Good luck.
Jim, ex vet and perennial bushie.
Wishing for you to be well Wheelin
Get well soon Ray.
Bugger! That's almost as bad as having some mongrel let the air out of your tyres!
All the best mate and all good thoughts go to Sue and your family as well.
Cheers,artme.
Just of the phone with Ray, he is in good spirits and wishes to thank everyone for their best wishes.
Wheelin' I do hope you are back up and rolling ASAP...
There just seems to be too much bad stuff happening but really glad you are in good spirits.
Regards,
Graham
I have just spoken to Sue and she tells me that Ray is improving but very tired at the moment and he is having moments of ups and moments of downs. The doctors reckon they have caught it in time and everything has gone well as can be expected.
His son was with him this afternoon and Ray is worn out at the moment and needs a lot of rest. Apparently it all started with pains in his back and he thought it was from lifting his band saw around the day before.
Sue said that he had severe pains shortly after he finished chatting to me on Skype, which we do regularly, so it was not a very good finish to his birthday.
Sue reckons he's got to do something spectacular next birthday to beat this one.
she said to thank you all for your kind words and good wishes.
Glad to hear he is doing OK. Hope to see you back on here soon Ray.
All the best Ray. I know what you are going through. Been there and done that.
I just received a phone call from Ray from the hospital and he sounds very good considering when he has been through. He sounded very tired but asked me to thank all of you for your messages and thoughts. He is very touched by everyones concern.
He still has a way to go but he is on the right track. He has been very stressed out these last few weeks and things have been getting on top of him.
I am sure Ray will tell us all about it when he is able to. Let's hope he continues to improve in leaps and bounds.
Munruben ,
Thanks for the forum post regarding Ray's condition .
I have been wondering about him .
I recieved an e-mail last night from Sue saying not to send e-mails to him as he is unavailable.
I guess Sue didn't have time to explain and expected I would hear about it soon enough .I fully understand her actions. There is no time to gin around in those circumstances.
Been through the same experience twice .
I just hope he has good care and gets well soon .
Kev.
Edit .
Well,,, I didn't read all of the posts . Glad to hear he is in good hands and that the damage is minimal .
We have become good internet friends and I would surely miss his daily jokes and e-mails.Can't wait until he's back on deck.
wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery Ray
It's really good to hear he is doing OK
I would like to thank Munruben as well for the forum post regarding Ray's condition .
Wishing you all the best Ray and hoping for a speedy recovery.
Cheers Fred

Not good news at all :(
Gotten to know Ray reasonably well through this forum and, like a lot of others, like and admire the guy.
I wish Ray a speedy and full recovery, who knows, maybe he'll come out of this in better shape than he was previous to this incident.
What's goin' on ere!
I took a breather from the computer and turned it on to find
you have had a birthday and a heart attack without me.
Thanks John for keeping us informed. I have "been there"
and "done that" so know how Ray would be feeling.
Get well soon mate. You have many friends on the Forum
who will watch your progress with interest.
Allan
I must have blinked. All the best for a full and speedy recovery Wheelin'..
Ray, get better mate, here's praying for you, Amos:):2tsup:

Our thoughts and prayers are with you
Sam & Pat
Well, take note everyone Back pain can be a sign of heart trouble.
Thanks for the updates John.:2tsup::2tsup:
Keep up the improvement Wheelin.:2tsup::2tsup::U
Hope all goes well and you will be back on the board soon.
Keep us advised John
I just caught up with this bad news concerning Ray, get better soon mate. I bet Sue has got the hospital running like a watch.:)
I remember you posting something about this a while ago Arthur. So take notice guys and gals.
Hopefully will have some more news of Ray tomorrow. I have avoided contacting Ray or Sue for a couple of days to give them a chance to settle down a bit. But I am sure he will do just fine, He is a tough bugger.
Best wishes Ray. Get well soon.
Spoke to Ray this morning and his condition has been downgraded to a less serious level. He had an uncomfortable night though unfortunately but this was due to other problems and not his heart. He has been up and out of bed a couple of times and he seems a bit brighter but still sounded exhausted. He has had some small amounts of food because if he eats too much it causes him to have pain inside his tummy.
Doctors have not said how long he will be in hospital but Ray is not expecting to be released this side of the long weekend which doesn't surprise me.
He has family visitors with him this morning and is expecting a friend to come over to see him later, so he is not short of company. Sue is having a break from the hospital for today.
I will be in touch with Ray again in a couple of days or so. I still think he needs a lot of rest but Ray is much too polite to complain about being bothered by my phone calls.
Thanks for the update John
Wow just saw this thread, wishing you well Ray and a speedy recovery, keep the chin up Sue all will be well.
Thanks for the updates John.
Gee Mate We all miss you.
Thinking of you every day and hope you are home soon
Tell him to look on the bright side - he has air conditioned accommodation and pretty attendants to bring him food & drink. :U Probably not as good as a Barbie at home with the family & a few cold ones, but better than some alternatives.
.... like they all said and come back soon Ray. All the best mate. :2tsup:
Late as usual, but sincerely hope for a FULL recovery.
Jim
I just read the news and I hope that Ray has a speedy and healthy recovery.
