A Couple of Life's Little Mysteries

In Moscow the trains are 50m below ground at their subways - grande stations too - chandeliers marble pillars - tile mosaics - like palaces. But the travellators are so long and they move at about jogging pace. The locals know to stand to the LHS to allow runners by. Also they know to use every step for standing on the travellator. Seven to ten travellators wide full of people tavelling at speed - they move millions per day very effectively.

If some tourist dope were to stop anywhere along the path of these moving masses - trampled for sure - now theres a cure using Darwin philosophy.

Why do people obscure their car's rear windows with sunshades and silly signs saying "Baby On Board" and then think they're being safer?

Why do architects put long, steep walkways next to escalators in their designs then call them wheelchair friendly?

Why do some people have to line up beside you at a red light and "drag" off to get in front, just to slow everyone down when they turn into the next side street!:((

If they are moving at such pace, then wouldnt the people be catapaulted off at the top. :? It would be funny to see:)

I can drive into town, never see a traffic light, put up with slowing down for wallabies echidnas or plain turkeys on the unsealed road. On the odd occasions, actually see another vehicle. On a real bad day it takes up to 15 minutes to drive the 11km to town. Then we have the indignaty of having to park up to three parking bays from the front of the chosen shop.
