Blue lasers, higher frequency hence shorter wavelength so more on the disk.

Nope, it's only half a car!

They were ugly. I wonder how they ever thought they'd achieve any sort of market share with such an awful beast.

Interestingly, the guys that designed that junk went missing for 30 years until the Toyota Avalon appeared. I hear they are replacing that failure with an 'Aurora' or somesuch that looks like a big Camry. Can't wait...

The P76 was a good car, but badly produced (rushed into production) and badly timed (didn't see the oil crisis coming). Still, the motors have given new heart to many an MGB, particularly when bored and stroked out to 4.2 or 5 litres :D

Back then a Woodworking Forum was held every four years in the Colloseum, not like these young whipper-snappers that call themselves woodworkers now! There was never any debate about hand tools VS power tools - everyone used the same!

We never discussed the merits / follies of Bunnings, GMC, etc. They didn't exist. Instead we turned our ire upon those damn Romans. They didn't give us anything! Except aqua-ducts. And roads. And.......(bennylaird? a little help needed here!)

My '66 Pontiac GTO'd take two. Actually... one was the fuel tank. :) Still only got 4 servos to the mile but. :(

Every changed a set of radial tyres on wheels with safety rims ... using only tyre irons and a crow bar? Including pumping them up with a hand pump (tubeless remember). We did. Gawd knows how, but we did four of the things. Learnt some new words that day I did ;)

But it's only a 512? Why not get a good sized one?

While the specs do tell us the sound should be better I just love the old distorted output from a big valve amp with heaps of grunt (sorry Grunt).

How does Tim the tool man say? More Power!!!!!! (Can't spell his grunts)

I used to be a ludite but I like the old ways too much!

My old car had a 354 hemi and 727 torqueflite with the push button auto, think it was out of an AP6 and on some days of big use I thought I could watch the needle go down on the gauge.

As for the P76 being ugly, I reckon it will become an icon of excesses :)
Sort of like orange and green laminate kitchens, red 30mmX30mm tiles for splashbacks, burnt timber paneling
The 70's was all class man :D
