Meri is Pidgin for woman, tenku is Pigin for thank you, and boi is pidgin for local man. Meri & boi are now considered by some to be derogatory.
It was a popular drink in PNG, because you could have a long refreshing drink of orange juice, with a fair slog of BM to repel the mosquitos and prevent malaria.
