Thanks guys, we're just waiting on google to review the site and remove the warning.
So Google perceives a problem and the world follows suit?
For last couple of days have received the same.
Copy of screen attached.

Its good to see so many going through the process and getting to the forum.
However do not become complacent it may not be at the forum server that the problem stems (phone lines get tapped) and as we have seen a Deceptive site could be up and running lets hope its found and fixed.
At not time should lowering of security levels take place if updates with in browsers have happened its for a reason it means they have concerns world wide of attacks and hacks.
Of all the forums and pages I frequent this is the only one not even metal forum is showing the dreaded red screen.
Won't be lowering anything.
Yeaterday no matter what I clicked, including "visit this unsafe site anyway" it would only show the red screen.
Today I'm in.
Tapatalk is OK for the short term.
But was getting stressed!
Not perfect but all good now.
I'm using Safari and still nbg phone only ok
Unfortunately, removing the Google phishing flag is non-trivial.
Read here for what the admins are having to do:
https://aw-snap.info/articles/phishing.php
What a pain in the bum, ever thread I go to comes up red... talk about waving a red flag at a bull:(
I, for one, am still in a position where I can't really use the forums. Every time I load a page, it prompts me to confirm that it's ok, but when I do it takes me to the home screen. I'm using my phone to post this, which is a huge pain.
Not to be pushy or anything, but, just for the sake of saying it, this will cause me to leave the forums if it is unresolvable.
For those that are struggling with browsers - Tapatalk is still working as expected.
Safari on iPad and iPhone is fine. Just tried Chrome on the iPad with a google search for "woodworkforum" and it brought up this site in search with the heading "this site may be hacked"
As Steven posted earlier in this thread, he is working with Google to resolve this.
Chucking hissy fits won't speed up that process even a little bit, but I guess it will make some people feel better.
I only get the big red screen first thing in the morning when I log on from a bookmark (Firefox). I then click on ignore warning and I report the site as being safe to Firefox.
For the rest of the day I can use the forum as per normal.
So, my advice is to read ALL the instructions on the big red screen.
I say once again, our guru Steven is working on it and hopefully this gets resolved sooner rather than later.
Fred, has the forum format been changed to an earlier format ie. No furniture section - now back in Big?
Me too. First time ever. I said it was not a deceptive site. Drillit.
I just got the red warning screen in both Safari and Firefox.
You've got ten minutes to fix this or I'm gone FOREVER!!!!
Actually, I think I can wait for you guys to fix it. [emoji4]
Not happening at all in IE11 or Edge. Norton also reports as safe.
In 25,000 words or less, please do describe how you "drop your security down a notch."
Seems that's a auto-task that I need not mess with 10 times a day.
Thank you.
More importantly, who reported this as a deceptive site? Big uncle is hoping for
a novel hunting season.
According to Google, this is what causes it. How it got on the database I have no idea, but the comments about embedded ads or videos are probably spot on.
In Safari, you can temporarily get around it by going to 'Safari - Preferences - Security' and unticking 'Fraudulent Sites - Warn when visiting a fraudulent site.'Quote:
Because of this, web browsers have adopted "fraudulent site protection," which relies on a constantly-updated database of URLs that lead to malware. Google's Safe Browsing service is the most widely used such database; Safari, Firefox, and Chrome all use this on the desktop, and Safari uses it on iOS devices. Google says, about the Safe Browsing service, that it can:
Warn users before they click on links in your site that may lead to malware-infected pages.
Check a list of pages against Google's lists of suspected phishing, malware, and unwanted software pages.
But if you're reading this, I guess you already know.
All good here as of 20mins ago. :2tsup:
After 6 months of no subscriptions I at last got 4 subscription notices as well.:U
This site is FAR FROM SAFE. over the past several years I have been encouraged to embark on stupid projects and buy materials and equipment I can barely afford not to mention loss of time I cannot justify. I cannot believe you people are declaring the site safe.
  :U :oo:
Cheers
Doug
Hi guys
At 6am google sent me a notification stating the warnings will be removed in a few hours.
Thanks for your patience while this was being resolved.

steve
Thanks Steven.
Looks like it was quicker than expected as the warning did not come up 30 minutes ago when I first checked in. :2tsup:
Funny how I have never received the warnings running Windows 10 & McAfee???
Mobyturns, it may depend on your security settings. I'm not familiar with windows, but in Safari they can be set to get around it, although it is not wise to do this permanently. Perhaps you should check your settings.
Just got on with no Red screen.
Well done!
Using Chrome without changing security settings.
Safari all good as well.
Same situation.
please remove
with in 2mins of posting my comment above yesterday Red Screen popped up while signed in.
No problem so far this morning off to the shed try again latter today.
Firefox has also done an update this morning so hopefully it will settle down.
Hi,
I find it amusing that Google are pretending to be the good guys protecting us through all this.
Regards
Thank you to the admin and tech people who got this sorted. :2tsup:
Thanks Steve, seems fixed for now
The Deceptive sign is back.
Regards
Yup, I just got it too.
Have alerted Steven, hopefully he can get this fixed once and for all.
Last time this was happening it did not affect me. I was travelling and accessing the forum on my android tablet. Now I am home and accessing it from my windows 7 laptop using chrome it is coming up for me too. I might just have to go and crank up the tablet again.

Quite easy to by-pass, click on Ignore Warning and report the site as safe.
