Neil this would only work IF he is getting anything at all I found the same problem.

Yes, I had confirmations for all of them, including yesterday's change to gmail. They were all responded to. I have three addresses, and I've tried each of them, and when they didn't work, i reverted to the normal one - hence the number of changes you note. Then yesterday I tried my wife's gmail account.
But I wondered whether the change needed to be done by say midnight of the day before, rather than just 45minutes before, as was the case yesterday.
With all the problems you guys are having about notifications may I suggest that you use the " New post " button or "Todays post" button. That way you will see all the posts listed ,including the ones you are interested in.
That's what I do.
Peter.
Thanks Peter, didn't know about that second one, and was only told about the first yesterday. Should be a useful substitute. Can you subscribe to those ?
regards
Chris
I don't think you can subscribe to those, but they are at the top of every page of the forum as part of the headings. The "New Post" is the second on the brown bar and the "Today Post" is in the drop down button of the Quick Links, the last one on the brown bar.
Peter.
Chris,
One more thing I should mention is that if you use the "New Post" to look at all the active threads and have finished you use the "Mark Forums Read " under the "Forum Actions". This will clear the counter and start anew until you mark it read again.
When I've been away from the forum for a while the New Posts have accumulated for a while. After the last holidays it amounted to about 400 posts across the forums.
Peter.
So it has begun yet again. Notifications of post updates ceased to be a few days ago. Notifications of likes ATM still happening. I have changed nothing.
No changes at this end.
I'm still not receiving daily updates (since mid-2016). And poring through the New Posts is a bit tedious.
Still nothing has changed at this end and still no other reports of the same problem.
I will let Steven know and see what he can find but I doubt he will be able to find anything different as I have exhausted all avenues for you over the last 12 mths or so and can find no problem at this end.
Cheers - Neil
Neil,
I don't think it is just me. i asked a friend to join and subscribe to a sub-forum, and he doesn't get daily updates either. I have a suspicion that the ability to receive daily updates after joining a sub-forum has dropped out, even though the option is still there to choose.
Ask someone else to subscribe to a new forum and see.
All my other emails from forum threads and private messages are working fine.
The lack of reports is not conclusive - people who never had this service aren't missing it, and don't necessarily know where to post a missing report item- there is no obvious place.
What would be conclusive is if you or Steven can see my daily update in a "Sent Updates" file.
Thanks for your efforts, i know you have tried.
regards
Chris
Neil,
don't know whether you have changed anything, but today for the first time in well over a year I got daily updates for three of my four subscribed forums.
Keep it up!
Chris
I got my first 'subscribed' one today as well. However I have been receiving notifications of 'likes' or 'thanks' the whole time.
Thanks Chris, we're working on the email issue and I hope to be able to post a more detailed update in the coming week.
Neil,
you will remember that my daily updates stopped working for well over a year. Well they have all been working again for some months, all except the Timber forum. Is there something special about that forum that would cause it to be the odd one out?
regards
Chris
I never get notifications for anything. I have to search manually.
Have you got them turned on in your general settings?

Can't see a problem with the Timber forum. Chris.
Have you tried to subscribe to individual posts that you have posted in? This can be done in the advanced section when you post by clicking on the "Subscribe to this thread and notify me of changes: " then on the dropdown to choose how you receive the notification.
Neil,
I've never had a problem receiving notifications about threads I've joined. Only the daily forum updates.
Thanks
Chris
Well shiver me timbers! Today I got a Timber forum update!
Thanks to whomever.
