Come on now Wongo, there is no such thing as a good taxi driver. Anywhere. Ever. :rolleyes:Quote:

Dan
Because we were entertaining someone from Sydney, we decided to act like a Sydneysider so we dressed down and used the lemon tree just like they do in Sydney.
All of us Victorians felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed acting in this manner but in the interests of diplomacy we made out that we always do these things so Wongo felt he was still in Sydney.
Craig, it isn't really a trick. I have perfected placing the BBQ near a bushy part of the garden so when the hotplate needs scraping (the honey and soy sauce on chickens makes a bit of a mess when they are cooking) you can use the Barbiemate to flick the crud into the bushes. Recycling is the theme.
Dan, your comments about taxi drivers are pretty much spot on. When I drove them on the weekends in the late 70's and eighties I kept your colleagues in regular employment whilst driving like a maniac. Used to do about 1000Km a weekend and I never had a stack or caused one but all the same we used to do a bit of low flying!
145K's around Batman avenue 10PM near the MCG on a Saturday night - $50 fine on the spot!!!! :o :o Rightfully the consequences today might be slightly more severe - nuthouse or watch house?
Anyway it was good to catch up with Wongo and as stated earlier I am glad everyone enjoyed themselves.
The big question is, who will our next victim be?
$400 and something fine and 12 months walking. A trip to court for dangerous speed if the copper can be bothered with the reams of paperwork. The result wouldn't be any better.
Dan
Cool. Instant compost :)Quote:

Download a program called Gimp from http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.htmlQuote:
"How to make bigger piccys while still keeping the 75 dpi bullsht thing happening."
You need to download the 2 files, GTK+2 and Gimp. Install them both.
Start Gimp.
Open up your JPG file.
Choose File/Save As from the menu.
Give your picture a new name but keep the .jpg and press ok.
A window will pop up called 'Save as JPEG'
Tick the 'Preview in Image Window' checkbox
Using the 'Quality Slider' slowly move it to the left until the size is less than 100k. The size is shown under the 'Preview in Image Window' checkbox.
Once it is less than 100k, press ok.
I've attached two images that I've squished (reduced the quality). They are of the same original picture but one is cropped and the other isn't
BreeKaneCropped.jpg Original: 443k Reduced Quality: 96k (around 75%)
BreeKaneFull.jpg Original: 569k Reduced Quality: 97k (around 50%)
Both images still look quite good but are not usable for printing.
You are all welcome whenever you hit town.
I will send you cheque for $1000 soon Bob, just keep looking out for it. :D :D :D
Geezuz!! Grunt - that one (2) ugly dog! :D
thanks for the tip - the photo quailty is ok for posting on this site....!
For those interested in the NEXT ONE, jow 104 is coming over from the UK and will be at my place on 29 January.
I will place a post closer to the date.
Plenty of room for tents, caravans etc if anyone wants to come.
We are about 75km SE of Melb, BYO own bag and I will even donate rose food (horse crap).
Iain,
I am looking forward to it but I can't get there too early or stay overnight because of pre bookings.
No doubt you will send us directions when the time is closer.
That will be great for Robs lemon tree.Quote:

Sorry, couldnt help myself.
Al :D
Is there a common theme creeping into these BBQ's??
firstly there is the suggestion of hot air/bull at WoodBorers; and now not to be outdone, Iain is already planning plenty of horsecrap.!!
Yep; those lemon trees etc should do well.
But damn; if attendees have to take a bag with them it's either going to be a big meeting or lots of tall tales told. Must be something like the old fisherman tales. The more refreshment, the bigger the fish.;):D
Pity you are so far away Iain.
Ken.
I'm not far away, you are :D
BYO tent if you wish, will post later anyway, just after Xmas.
You can't :(Quote:
