No Gore - Just Embarrassment

Had a very similar experience just yesterday; with the shed being in a semi-permanent "state of transience" none of my tools are set up properly yet, as they're constantly being packed/unpacked and moved around.

I was making a replacement side for a flatpak drawer, with a mitred end instead of dovies. (I did say 'twas a flatpak. :rolleyes:) Not being concerned about quality or perfect fit, instead of wasting time setting up the TS to cut the mitre I just used my li'l Ryobi Linisher to sand the end to 45°.

Had just about finished and was re-introducing the piece after checking my marks, when I fumbled. The wood, being large enough to hold comfortably, didn't go flying across the room. :no: Instead, the linisher launched itself off the top of the boxes I'd set it up on. :doh:

Bent the table out of true and I'm not game to open the box it landed on to check for damages... I think it may contain some of SWMBOs "ornamental doodads."

Fortunately, no harm to me beyond bruised pride... but that may change if 'Er Indoors finds out. :C

Serious suggestion ... buy one of Maka's leather aprons.

Now that your tummy is nicely sanded apply some of ubeaut's eee and polish it

Wound is all healed...pride still dented........guard is in place............leather apron now worn.

Wonder what's next....maybe polishing as Bob said.

Speaking of 9" grinders, I have met a few guys in our trade sporting a huge scar from the ear to the chin after trying to use it above their heads and it bit and kicked...
