QVD or there are plenty of shop in Pitt street mall. Try Polo (or Ralph Lauren), they have good stuff.
Let us know if you want a get together.
Queen Victoria Dive? Queen Victoria Dungeon?
Actually in that case, I think the problem was they tried to expand and the world wasn't ready for a shop that sold clothes, camping gear, strange nick nacks and bath ducks...
When it was just that single shop in George street, they did very well - survived two World Wars and god knows how many changes in fashion. Someone got greedy and killed the golden goose.
wear your class 1's and service ribbons. scowl at the bouncer in a "dare you to not let me in your prick..." I betcha you get in before your mates.
I bet you'll drink for free too...
Nah, it is not a velvet rope and rubber wear kinda place, and wearing uniform and ribbons is not on the cards... worn a uniform all year and intend to slide right into 'normal life' for a while.
Again, thanks for all the suggestions, I've gotten a good range of options - and all are close to where I'll be staying.
As for catching up... I'd like to do that but may be limited by time... I'll be running around like a mad chook as it is.
I have 3 and a half weeks off, but only 4 or 5 days in Sydney.
I'm being 'organised' by friends, so I'll find out what the program is and see if we can get together for a cold one?
After a year of mostly 16 hour days, and only 25 days "out of country"... I'm willing to dress like a flash larrikan to unwind a little.
Again, thanks all... although SilentC... be interested in seeing where your mate goes to get his stuff.
:2tsup:
My memory is fading as I grow older, but where was the place that had the NRL blokes who did the tagline, "Get it at ...?"
Lowes Menswear
 try there. :2tsup:
:D
Welcome back to Oz, Clinton.
You have the good oil from other blokes, just wanted to thank you & your mates for the work you've done on our behalf in Timor Leste.
I was going to go with Zed's suggestion, but can understand you wanting to wear civvies for a while.
I'll get on to him tomorrow.
If there's a beer happening, I'm in Sydney from December 20th to 23rd or thereabouts
G'day Clinton,
I'd go in what you're comfortable in....even if its a sarong and sandals.
You're the invited guest with a story to tell.
Their problem as to how they get you in
OK, mate from Balmoral says either DJs or Henry Bucks. HBs is expensive though. 23-25 O’Connell Street.
I get all my good clobber from Vinies :oo::oo:
