I think wind loading is your major concern. The rafter spacing should be 900mm I think. Then you'll have battens on top of that also at 900mm centres. The manufacturer should provide specs for the roof sheet you're using. Have you got a copy of the NSW Framing Manual? Very handy for these things. I've got one if you have a specific question. I bought it from the Building Info Centre in town, down the Redfern end of Elizabeth Street I think.
Attaching a beam or ledger to a brick skin I'm not sure on - never had anything to do with brick veneer. Peter will know what you need to do. I'd imagine you could dynabolt it.

Don't forget that the bearers & joists have to be H3 treated or durability class 1 or 2 timber. councils are now asking for certification if you're using hardwood.
