Yeah, all the best Termite.
Your wife will probaly tie a string around it and tell you to pull it out yourself!
Termite,
Good luck with the op, both hands is a bit of a bugger I believe. Bloke around the corner had both done and was looking forward to a bit of assistance but was told after the first day that as he was pretty accomplished at doing it himself he could get on with it, end of sympathy. Isn't love wonderful.
John.
Good luck Bill.
Termite Buddy - Yeah I missed you :) Glad you are still around and taking things easy. Best wishes for the new year!
Cheers
Wendy
Just think of the recovery ward, with other poor blokes who have had the same op, you can pull yourselves together:rolleyes:
Sorry, but someone else started it, trust all goes well and get back here soon before the mods decide to ban you.
Hey Termite ...I guess in wishing you all the best for Christmas and a happy and progressive and prosperous 2007 has really got some meaning behind it!
However I do mean it and hope that your surgery goes well for you and that the remedial recovery gets you back in the shed real soon...however power tools may have to be used on a lower setting for a while...mebbe:( .
I worked with a mad Irishman some years back who insisted on having both arms done at the same time....discovered a sudden rush on humility :o on having his good lady perform most of his ablutions for him...which she soon gave him the bum's rush I can assure you :D :D :D and the reason why the surgeon only recommends one arm done at a time.look forward to hearing of your progress.
All the best to you and yours
i have sympathy fo carpal tunnel sufferers.
i've not had carpal tunnel, but have had trigger finger dealt to.
daughter has had 2x carpal tunnel. she didn't get physio after the first op - and took ages to recover sufficient for the other hand to be done. after second op she got physio, which she should have had with the first op, and recovery has been much quicker.
(no caps beacuse ive got my rt hand in a splint just now)

All the best mate the improvement will be well worth the operation.
A mate , another forum member, some time back in the days before keyhole surgery went in to have one done and it went so well they did both, he thought he would get a few days R & R in hospital but on the second day when his SHMBO visited and found a young nurse showering him as he couldn't use his hands found himself discharged by his wife that afternoon :D :D
All the best Bill.
Just get them to tie a string around it with a loop in the end so you can fish it out. What's that song - "I'm just a puppet on a string?" ;)
Arh... now I know WHY you need the op..... https://www.ubeaut.biz/wanker.gif :D
