Nah, during Molcrom's depression (not the one we 'had to have', thanks Mr Keating). His missus also made a comment about 'all this hoo hah', referring to inflation, which spawned an Atchinson cartoon where two women were looking at a newspaper and one said - "I see the hoo hahs have gone up again" :D

Twas indeed a productive era for political cartooning. The current lot must be dry stuff to work with (post Latham of course:rolleyes: )

The seventies was such a great decade to grow up in. It really was the golden age in this country. The sight of Denis Lillee pumping down the pitch, hair and gold medallion akimbo. Good old Paul Hogan and Strop. Gough and Mal. Number '96. Aunty Jack. Countdown. I tell ya, the young people don't know what they missed.
