Rule number 1 ~ SWMBO writes on paper what the project is to accomplish.
Rule number 2 ~ SWMBO may not visit the home center during the purchase of materials for the project in rule number 1.
Rule number 3 ~ SWMBO may not alter, suggest changes, criticize the progress of the project in rule number 1.
Rule number 4 ~ SWMBO may suggest changes to the project in rule number 1.
Rule number 5 ~ SWMBO may request alterations or changes to the project in rule number 1 only six months hence.

There is one other rule, chiseled in stone, how could I forget.
