Look out for a certain bloke wearing a forum T shirt and cap and say G'day!
Should be there Saturday and possibly Sunday, not sure about Monday as yet.
Hope it is T shirt weather!

Alan...
I just got back (have things to do tonight!), it is as always a good time - good food and some music along with the show!
Personally speaking I was happy with my morning - ran into a few familiar faces, picked up some lovely timber and managed to resist buying a Gifkins jig.
It's easy to miss the wootha prize entries as they are a bit separate from a lot of the show (upstairs in the hall), but make an effort to get there - there is some pretty spectacular work. I think the judges might be bigger fans of carving than I am... But there's no doubt the carving is pretty spectacular!
Cheers,
Danny
left home about 7.30 and headed up a 2hr drive via the highway routes as instructed by Missy....boring as watching paint dry, good traffic flow tho.
At the gate by 9.30 on entry saw Dai Sensei sitting at his table of resin n waste wood blanks but kept going as we planned to just look at all first............that plan fell apart after about an hour.
Had planned in meeting up with Old Croc and Uncle Al which we did.
Well worth the visit and will be going again next year plenty to see and do a 2 day trip would be great that way time to talk and watch demos.
Some photos below.
It was Neil who reminded me I had met him before at Blue Mnts GtG
Photo of left to right Old Croc, Uncle Al Myself & Dai Sesnei.
Wow
I think I might put the show in the bucket list.
Thanks for the pics

THANK YOU Ray for the time and effort to take a top selection of photos and as Matt said, it's got to be on ones "Bucket List"....
To everyone else who attends, love to see your photos too, thank you...
Cheers, Peter
PS - 2hrs from Ipswich to Maleny is pretty good traveling Ray, as a child it 2-2.5hrs to go from Northgate to Maroochydore....
I've already started planting ideas into the wife's head Doug..... Hopefully we get some traction! (Maybe we'll have to make a 'melbourne trailer trip' and take turns driving so we can haul back suitable amounts of booty)
Peter my pleasure you guys have shared shows and GtG I couldnt get to. There was far more i could have taken but im sure this lot wer you appitite well I hope it has.
For those from NSW its acombination of Newcastle, Kiama and Sturt school of wood shows all in one but better.
Thought I would add pics of my little sampler pac $2 tbese were off cuts in a box.
the copper tube, strange what you find at country wood shows.
As well as Red Cedar for legs for a coffee table project.Attachment 411385Attachment 411386
Just one pic for Crowie....the crowds were too big to get too many pics but watched this guy slab a log with this chainsaw setup... Looked like a lot of hard work but the results were good.

Plenty to see and do came away with a few bits of timber for a couple of projects....resisted the purchase of more tools and in doing so avoided the doghouse for another week:D
well worth a look...to top it off a good friend won the Wortha prize this year for his carving....well done to Jack
Just got back from the show.. great show . Def worth a visit..
pickup up a few bits of rosewood, celery top and jacaranda.
Cheers

We were up there very early Saturday, beautiful weather and spent a few hours there, I tried to look out for Caps and indications of club members but failed.
Thought I'd add a few pictures my wife took. I know that the Jack Daniels work was posted in those great pictures from wheelinround, but I just wanted to add that it must be over 2M tall, it's huge.
The full size jacket and hat are just a fabulous carving, didn't get the boots which were amazing.
