If you have developed petrochemical sensitises then I don't think any particulate mask will work. Particulate and so called vapour masks assume the material is in droplet form and will work down to ~0.3 microns, and that removing most of the droplets from the air is all that is needed. However, Petrochemical vapour particle sizes can be 100 time or smaller than this and can even be as small as molecules which are sub nanometer in size. What you might need is a proper gas mask, such as those used by firefighters or war service personnel.
It all makes cutting a little fire wood or trimming the odd tree just way to difficult. It really annoys me that my lack of knowledge about safety when I was young has lead in some way to this. Have a great day all and thanks for all the help.
