The top looks great :2tsup: You're not going to want to give this cabinet up. I must remember to keep an eye out for old windows. I'm sure I've seen lots of them dumped over the years.

You're right, I really like the concept and, even in my cluttered house, there is room for one! The lady who has commissioned this one has access to 4 more identical Windows from the same house and some of her relatives are expected to order similar cabinets when they see this one? What would look REALLY good, would be windows where the small panes are coloured glass?

what a cool cabinet - and if it gets hot you can just open the window
Alan, The cabinet is looking great but you mentioned shelves and I didn't see any in the photos??? Peter
What! The possum doesn't like the tree house you built? Maybe fit some Qld. windows to spruce it up a bit like that excellent cupboard.
Spot on Crowie, no shelves yet.
Right at the moment, it appears to be Possums 42 vs Fletty NIL!
The mother and current joey seem to have gone and I hope they have moved to the possum palace that I made. However, what I think was last year's joey, is either still getting in or is trapped in by the new roof?
Im going to have to make an exit hole with a spring loaded flap.

I only have to Z clip the top and so, if I don't do the painting, it's pretty much finished.

I wont be delivering it for a few weeks yet so I wouldn't be surprised if I do end up painting it first?
If anyone does come across any suitable old windows, anywhere in NSW (or Vic or Qld :B), I might be interested?

Fast forward 8 months and......

..... the cabinet has settled in to its new home and matches the decor very as the customer also has a HUGE dining table of recycled kauri and white painted legs and aprons.
Im pretty happy with this one and very happy to be able to take the picture :photo: and enjoy the hospitality.

My woodworking has been interrupted for a month by both extreme temperature and social calendar. Mrs fletty goes back to work tomorrow and it’s a bit cooler so I can feel an upcoming blitz on cabinet making. On a drive today, I found these pieces of lead lighting in an antique shop.

I am already sketching another cabinet like the one above but with double, bowed cabinet doors? I know I’ve already got 4 projects under way but........
Congratulations on the find. They are great leadlight windows. Should make some lovely cabinets. Maybe some steam bending or laminated curve work coming up?
