Disabled Parking Madness

I used to get students parking in my personal expensive (i.e. $750 over year) parking bay at Uni.
At one stage I had a clapped out mitzi van that I used to park behind them blocking them in - as I was not inconveniencing other drivers I have informal approval by the Uni parking people to do this and would call the parking inspectors to make sure the student got a ticket .
I would also leave a note on their windscreen saying that I lived close to uni and was thinking of walking home that evening but if they came and showed me their parking ticket I might consider driving home.
I'd get one or two at the start of semester and then it would be a pretty rare occurrence after that for the rest of the year.
Only two students ever showed me their tickets, the others waiting until I left. I even drove off one day and then walked back to see what might happen, and sure enough the student came out of the bushes and drove off.

Back in the late 1970's a friend of mine parked his car in a "safe" spot in Adelaide. He had just had new mag wheels and tyres put on it. He went away and came back a few hours later to find his car on blocks and the wheels stolen. He still had the old wheels so he asked me to get the old wheels and bring them to him. When I got there I helped him get the wheels on and get the car off the blocks. He then went to start the car and nothing happened. Motor and gearbox were gone too.

The "safe" place he parked it in? Right in front of the South Australian Police Headquarters.

I think the gent in the merc was just allowing for the tide.

So far I have deleted several posts that advocate physical violence, one in particular in an extreme way.

Whilst it is totally wrong for someone that isn't disabled to take up a parking space allocated for disabled persons, there is absolutely no justification to advocate physical violence on this forum.

Be assured that any such post will be deleted - keep a sense of perspective please.

For those who wonder about the language in the prank it is Portuguese and the country is Brazil.

A strange country in many ways because usually people respect parking spots for the disabled.

On the other hand litter is a big problem in Brazil and nobody ever seems to give a damn. Often people refurbish
their house and simply cart their rubbish onto the street and footpath. I have seen seaside ares where the well
to do simply throw rubbish over the fence into the vacant blocks next door.

If he had enough time turn the diff upside down, one forward 5 reverse gears.:o

At least it is parked in the bay.

No revenge needed. That was a very enjoyable 4m 36s of my life.
