I'm curious,
How many of you actually wrote back with the time details as requested on the package of the last issue to arrive?
If not, why not?
Cheers,
P
I didn't. Who reads the wrapper? Not me. Good thing I'm not allergic to peanuts...
#189 arrived in the post last night. Still no #186 though. I've given up on it.
Interesting article on table mounted routers, the Triton got best value and best overall (you listening Wongo? :D).
Now that’s interesting craig. I got mine a couple of weeks ago which is strange considering your living closer to the post office.:oo:
As for the Triton router, it is disgraceful isn’t it? See the standard of FWW mag has dropped significantly.
What’s next? The Triton workcentre as the editor’s choice??
I got 189 yesterday too. I also received the replacement copy of 185 late last year but not the replacement copy of 186 which I requested at the same time. However, the original one did eventually turn up via The Dominican Republic or wherever it went first. If I ever get the replacement, I'll let you have it. But don't hold your breath ;)Quote:

Play fair Silent. It is great that you offer it to craig but what about someone who sent you a free router bit?:B
Now I know I posted to this thread this morning, just after #189 arrived:? .
Still no 186 though.

#189 arrived here in Tassie today also, still waiting for #186 :~.
Went back and re-read their last e-mail..... 10-12 weeks it said...it has been 13 so a further e-mail sent.
Received an e-mail response overnight:-
Thank you for your patience. I can confirm that a replacement of Issue #186 left here in mid-October. Even with the 10-12 week shipping time, you should have received this replacement by now. Since you haven't, I have ordered a replacement for you. I have also extended your subscription by an issue as a thank you for your patience.I hope this time it is back to their normal standard of around 7 days air mail.
Should you end up with two copies, just share the extra copy with an interested friend. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience this delivery delay has caused.
I received 189 the other day but the wrapper was split and the magazine was soaking wet. Not sure who to complain to Taunton or Australia Post. Can't quite figure out how it got wet as the day it came we had not rained at all. Kind of managed to read it but destroyed it in the process. As for the Triton router they must be good cause they are as ugly as sin.
I finally received #186 today; it was a bit battered and covered with labels in Spanish. Apparently it had been hijacked by pirates of the Caribbean, since it arrived from the Dominican Republic.
