Most demo's I would like limited to an hour unless it is something in the evening where we can all kick back and soak it in and try not to get caught snoaring from a big day 😉

Raechell is a true treasure, she holds the fort with the kids while Dave is away working then she has to put up with all the riff raff that Dave invites for what is essentially a blokes get together and ladies too . Many, many thanks to Raechell, Dave and the kids for putting on a great weekend, like the last one, a great success. To see the kids playing happily and SO well behaved was fantastic.
The camaraderie was fantastic, to see and share in so many different aspects of woodworking and associated activities, there isn't anything better.
Looking forward to the next one and I will try to get there earlier and stay longer to meet more.
Crowie and I came back via Shepperton which got a huge dumping of rain, something that Dooen and Horsham needs.
During the Photoshop / Lightroom discussions, I mentioned a couple of websites which offer free video tutorials. Here are some links:
Photoshop Tutorials by Julieanne Kost
Adobe Photoshop Tutorials
Photoshop Tutorials | Photoshop Essentials
That should keep you occupied for a couple of months.

Here is an example of cross lighting to pick up texture. We have thrown in some over exposure and heavy shadow. Good thing i have my hi-tech phone

Just finished unpacking the car...
Got home about an hour ago....
The roadworks from Bathurst to Mt Victoria were very slow then the trip across to Katoomba and down the hill equally as slow.
That new Ford did the 2360kms round trip easily [thank you to the few who offered support just in case of another breakdown]; we got just on 11.3kms per litre & in old money that's a superb 32mpg out of a big 6cylinder; the economy could have been slightly better; Ray did the majority of the driving for me [thank you, sir] ..... he found that the Ford XR6 does have a lot of get-up & go ....... and thus the cruise control became very wise option...
Anyways, I need a good rest after such a big weekend with a top mob of blokes & ladies....THANK YOU Raechell & Dave.....You are a very special couple both hard working and generous...Dave, make sure you bring her a bunch of flowers when you get home from this Sydney work trip, as she deserves them & much more...
WOODWORK, friendships, camaraderie, encouragement, giving&sharing, fun, fly's & dust - WHAT A TOP WEEKEND!!!!
Cheers, crowie
PS - I'll reduce all my photos [apologies Bob, unedited] and post them over the next few days.....
Ill check the hwy for wild flowers on the way home. Maybe some daisis and sower sobs etc 😉
Who knows might find some dry flowers

Not often
But I could make a special once of lol
Inmmmmm
I am a little surprised to find that some-one may have thought that an XR6 could break down
Regards
Keith
No Keith, It was a joke at my expense.....
Last Australia Day GTG at Jerilderie, I towed Ray's old caravan from Cowra with my LPG EB2, but there was no oil cooler on the transmission, so the gearbox & engine got way too hot, used a bucket of extra LPG. When we stopped for refueling the servo didn't have LPG, so the NRMA truck had to take us to Narrandera some hour in the wrong direction to refuel.. Dave & Trevor came up to Narrandera ensure we got the last 120kms safely....Only 4hrs late....Peter.Attachment 369906Attachment 369907
Oh you mean your car made it without a tow

That's why I didn't get to meet Crowie and Ray!!! Fancy trusting a Ford to do anything useful. ("There's your problem...")

With that much notice you might have everyone on the forum there.
Finally the start of the photos...Sunday evening & Monday morning...the photos have all been cropped and resized in MS2010 to 60%, not Photoshop [apologies to Bob] so nothing creative...
BUT FIRSTLY,
may I add my THANKS again to our gracious hosts [such a huge effort to cater for everyone],
plus all the top folk who made the trip to Dooen; you made my trip worthwhile and very much, a beaut long weekend...
Cheers, crowie
PS - Hopefully "Uncle Al" can add some of his photos too....
Gee that nice blue Ford deteriorated quickly:roll:
Honestly, thanks for the extra photos. Lots of good memories there.
And here's some of one of Dave's projects....no double about Dave's a hard worker and not afraid of a challenge....big heart & top bloke.....
