Just got the "red screen of death" security page from Chrome about the site
I've reported it is safe via the form, not sure if there's a problem with the site's certificates?

Anyone getting this message when logging on. Using firefox.

Same here. It happened once before to me a couple of years ago. Admin said it was due to a trojan attrack. Hope admin is onto it soon.
Same here, using Firefox browser
Within the last 1/2 hour I started receiving a Deceptive Site Warning via Mozilla Firefox every time I want to visit this forum site. Has anyone else experienced the same issues.
Stewie;
Yes same here seems Firefox has discovered a Phissing problem.
Yeah, it's happened to me too. I checked the address in case itwas someone trying to scam us, but it was the Forum address, so I just selected 'ignore' and the site came up. I'll report it to admin, in case it's caused by some update they've just installed.
Cheers,
No need - I see Fred is reading the thread, so I'll leave it in his capable hands... :U
Cheers,
I keep getting the following message using google chrome;
Deceptive site ahead
Attackers on the www.Woodworkforums.com may trick you into doing something
dangerous like installing software or revealing personal information (for example
passwords, phone numbers or credit cards)

Just tried as well , what causes this
Same here. Annoying :?
As above.
I always love a big red page appearing

Yep. Firefox.
Have reported this to our resident guru, Steven, hopefully he'll be on it soon.
In the meantime could people please stop reporting this, we are aware of the problem and don't need further reports, thanks.
Fred wrong thing to do IF the website is being used to Phish outside the system then the more who report it the better. IT is a serious matter that Browsers are coming up with this NOT virus scanners.
I'd be reporting it to Federal Police also there maybe a real Phissing problem and members need to be made aware.
It's not a big deal. Some advertisement was serving up some third party adservers javascripted XSS and google has picked up on it. The stupidity is that it was google Adsense serving this crap out in the first place.
Ive seen it in a few places. The warning disappears soon enough.
Me too.
Well well, look at that. WWF now has a https cert installed. Thats new.
Me too, using Firefox via Google not Yahoo.
Getting it on my iPad too.
Red screen on my PC but IPad OK as I am entering this now
Firefox might have its knickers pulled up a little too high. Just ignore it.
BUT, isn't it nice that there's some monitoring and analysis going on the background, on our behalf?
I will also encourage people to follow the onscreen steps to report that the site is legitimate.
drop your security down a notch and it disappears and goes back to normal, well mine did anyway
I just got it again and reported the site as safe.
Yep, it disappeared for awhile and it's now back.
Just got it now coming in via google chrome
Looked and looked but couldn't find previous posts regarding this issue.
Of course as soon as I posted the other popped up on top.
Please remove.
Im getting the same from Google Crome
Yep! Locked out all day......then the "Techi" daughter came home and pointed out on the screen where to click to find the Forum.....yup I am no computer guru
I use Firefox as my main browser and have never had a problem viewing the forum.
Tonight I go to the forum pages as usual and get a warning that Fierfox has detected this site as being a "Deceptive Site" ~ one that may contain malware.
Just wondering if there is a problem at your end and giving you a heads up.
Same issue here for most of the day, also spoke to another forum member who has experienced the same....
I followed through and told google its a good site...
May Neil & Steve need to investigate, thank you..
Cheers, crowie
There is another thread already.
Oddly, I use Sea Monkey which is pretty much the same as Firefox(but doesn't crash) and I don't get any warnings.
EDIT, I replied in the wrong thread, oops.
