And thats all there is to it.
of course he's a legend, he's from north queensland after all...
I think Brett Kimmorley was Qld's best assett and I go for NSW.
Jack.
Legend? Maybe. What he was last night was lucky. The guy who won the game though was Thurston. Without that there would have been no golden point. Two more games to go.
It should've been a draw though.
Who TF is Matt Bowen
Richard
If he's in Queensland and hes famous then he must have done something really badQuote:

i agree with Jack.
noddy was not on fire for most of the match, as wasnt barrett. fitzgibbon and hindmarsh had blinders but alas. i think that gasnier should move into the back row; im not a real fan of his in the backs - however his broken field running is outstanding. frigin queenslanders - gotta say they were pumped and looked the goods.
all this from a one eyed roach!
Just a question guys - over here in the west where there is nothing but aerial ping pong.
Who won pleaseeeeeeeeeeee?????
They did in the first half, I'll give you that. The big fellas were getting a bit tired by the middle of the second though. Hagan said as much. He knew that it was skin of the teeth stuff. It's alright to come out firing in the first half but if you can't sustain it all the way until full time a consistent team will win it everytime. Unfortunately that wasn't NSW last night.Quote:

who got man of the match ? lockyer or croker ?
Steve Price I thought....
Ditto!!!Quote:

Ahh, so you're talking about some sporting contest. Well, I know that in football, the states aren't playing at the moment so it can't be that. And in footbrawl, the states aren't playing, so it must be thugby. And Qld won. Well done chaps. Jolly good show. Pip pip old son. :D
Cheers
Richard
but who TF is Matt Bowen?
Qld 19 NSW O at half timeQuote:

Golden point, a very lucky fluke type intersept try by some Qld bloke to finish
Steve Price MOTM I think Though Hindmarsh should have been
The trouble with life is there's no background music.
I didn't see anyone on the paddock having a bad game, everyone did the job that was asked, many went above and beyond.
I agree Price MOTM, and Hindmarsh close, but Smith was another that played a special game.
All the players should be proud
even the umpiring was above season standard
bring back Andrew Johns. That is all there is to it.
Kennedy was the only thing saving the blues from a whitewash (or maroonwash) in the first half.
And what was the story with Watmough? I'm not sure he even made the field...
Trav
Thanks guys - next 2 times the Blues to win.!!!!!!!!:D
More likely a bad pass then a fluke intercept.Quote:

Just back after the Festival of the Boot (or whatever the boys are calling it this year) followed by a big day up north ... worst thing about being there in person was missing Roy & HG's call.
Best thing was watching all the tossers who thought the world would end if the team they support didn't win.
Like it would if NSW had got up!!!
:D :D :D
Triffic game to be at though!
P :D
Taking glee in another's misery, there's a word for that, What is it?
Grrrr, canetoads, carn the roach's!!!! :D
Awwww come on guys. I've tried to be rude about your player and you keep ignoring me. Come on, someone be rude back. I'm starting to develop a complex :D
Richard
BTW, who the hell is Matt Bowen?

Richard,
Matthew Bowen scored the winning points in Wednesday night's State of Origin match. The NSW half-back tried to float a long pass to get around him and failed. Matt Bowen in-ter-sep-ted the pass and scored the points.
(I have tried to use non rugby league related terms and spell things fo-net-ik-ally as well in case there are more problems in translation:p )
And I thought it was so Queenslanders would understand. :D :D
Sorry, just couldn't resist. :o
Dam , I was going to tell him the speak slower to help with the translation.:D
He's still a legend, ... I must blame the commentators for the defeat. Dastardly blasted, ... no Fatty , that;s what it was.
Bloody Matt Bowen,
I was looking forward to having a go at all the Queenslanders beacuse their only try was scored off a Matt Singh forward pass but Bowen had to go and score another try didn't he :) :) :)
Jack.
I think HG had it right. Bloody referee with no pea in his whistle, the death of Football really!
P(Who doesn't care less, except on the nights Queensland wins!)

What was that about tossers.............Quote:

I can't believe this thread has gone on for so long and no one has brought our attention to social injustice!

I feel I should warn you that there are substantial fines and possible criminal charges for committing any act or making any statement that could be viewed by a reasonable person as a terrorist threat. Where are all these responsible people, anyway.
Oh and yar boo sucks to Queensland :p
I think the people responsible are being hunted even as we speak from the mountains of Afghanistan to the back streets of Washington.Quote:
