Fiberglass/Rubber compound

Hi All,

I'm just wondering what most of the people that have recently finished a bathroom makeover used for water proofing?

I'm not sure if I should get someone in to fiberglass it - or use a good rubber compound type product to waterproof the parameter myself.

So if anyone can recommend a product or a way of making sure my bathroom will be water proofed on the cheap I'd really appreciate it.
