DIY floating floors??

We have just had a quote for supply and installation of Boral Silkwood floating floors and were a bit shocked at the cost. I was wondering if anyone can comment on whether this is a job that can be done DIY with no experience and a reasonably handy hubby??
What sorts of things could go wrong??

We are after a pretty top of the range product. Has anyone used the floating floor products from 'Northern Rivers Timber' in Alexandria? If so, how does it compare to Boral SIlkwood??
