Just needing some VERY basic DIY tips

First things first: sorry for the silly questions! trying to save some cash by doing some of the little jobs myself. Anyway...

#1. I have to remove tiles from kitchen & laundry floors (chipboard underneath). I do not believe they used underlay - if that is indeed the standard practice with tiling (as you can see I dont even know this:? ). Best way to do this while at the same time making as little mess as possible and causing no damage?

#2. Have to remove skirting from said laundry to prepare for cabinetry (don't technically have to but want to - it's water damaged :- ) ). How do I go about this?

Again, apologies...I know you guys are very helpful so you're all any easy target :2tsup:
