Cheers everyone,
Working on an old Dragon, it will be a little while before I post pics.
I will apologise in advance, in case I use profanity, spend a bit of time on Sailing Anarchy, this forum looks a little better mannered.

I will say Welcome to the Forum.
I am not sure as to what you mean by working on an Old Dragon?
Welcome to the forum.
Should have realised that was open to multiple interpretations!
It's a Wooden Keelboat, built in 1955 and raced at the Melbourne Olympics, been out of the water for a while, will get a second lease on life as a Day Sailer, not going back to original, but will still look / sail like it originally did. In the process of splining, will glass the hull after that.
Wow that sounds great. Look forward to seeing those pics mate. :2tsup:
Welcome Dragon55.
Looking forward to pics.
The boat has a great provenance, "sailed in the Olympics" - and all.
Almost everthing can have different meanings.
Thank you for the update.
G,day
My name is gerard, I am 56 yr old sheetmetal worker living in Newtown an inner suburb of Sydney. The best part about Newtown is that if you are patient you can furnish your home for for free! People throw out all sorts of useful items, I have a coffee table, a kitchen chair, (both freebies) my bookcase cot $5.00 at a garage sale. I was a little slow on the upright piano, a local shopkeeper beat me to that. Dump bins are treasure troves yielding up a variety of timbers.
I could go on all night about what i have found but my girlfriend is coming around on Saturday night & I need to go out scrounging for a double bed.
Goodnigt All.
ps
scrounging is as much fun as actual woodworking.
G'Day Dragon55 and Sheetmetal,:D
Welcome to the forums

G'day Dragon55 and Sheetmetal and welcome to the ratbaggery.:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:
What gave you the impression, Dragon, that we are too polite to use profanities?:D
Agree with you about the scrounging Sheetmetal. Just been storing my scrounged timber collection. In about 6cubic metres I have only bought about 2 cubic feet.
I use profanity too, but it has more effect in moderation, never looks quite so good in the written form, looks a bit juvenile when the moment has long passed.
