new sliding glass door question

I want to remove an old picture window and install a sliding glass door. The door will be about 3-4 foot off the ground and lead to a soon to be built deck. The outside of my house is covered in red brick and it has a gap behind the brick of about 3/4 inch. I will have to remove a section of red brick that is under the window down to floor level. When I insall the new construction sliding glass door I believe that gap will be visible along with the top layer of red brick when looking at the outside. How do I finish/seal this area?
