Evacuated Tubes solar hot water

Hi,
has anyone used any of the evaucated tube solar hot water systems being sold on Ebay (vary from $800 to $1300)??..........have you found these systems to work ok or had any problems?........most are DIY systems
I am considering one of these as I am not eligble for any Govn rebates.......similar name brand systems that attract rebates sell for approx. $5000 supply+install whereas Ebay models are not government tested for rebates
