Divorce proceedings

My mate had just been through a terribly nasty divorce and as
he left the courthouse he muttered under his breath, "It's about
time I had some good luck".

Suddenly a genie appeared and said, "You can have three wishes,
but whatever you wish for, your wife can have double".

My mate asked for twenty dollars and the genie pointed out his
wife would get forty. He was happy enough with that.

He then said he would like to be five years younger and the genie
confirmed his wife would be ten years younger. That was ok too.

"And what is your third wish", asked the genie.

My mate replied, "Beat me half to death".
