Securing sliding doors, anyone seen this method??

i was thinking last night of an aeffective way to secure my sliding door for my house. i came up with what is in the diagram below. simply a security door setup where you have a double barrel lock and 2 sliding pins that go up and down into the frame when door is locked.
has anyone seen this before and know if its avalable in any shops?? if so where would i get something like that??
